We are still here to deliver - but with a couple of changes, due to today’s stormy weather.

We’ve stopped all bike deliveries for at least the next 24 hours,
so it will be restaurant collection and car only deliveries this evening.

Job Description - Restaurant Manager

Job brief

We’re a successful, Award Winning restaurant group established in 2015.

Hello Burger is built upon delivering a fantastic guest experience both at the restaurant table and when we deliver, at the kitchen table too. We focus on doing the simple things well; offering a great quality product in an accessible yet elevated environment.

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all daily aspects of running a Hello Burger restaurant.
Everything from managing our amazing team, both Front and Back of House, to delivering an exceptional Guest Experience to ensuring our business culture is maintained and also fostered.

Post pandemic, the restaurant and hospitality industry have had to adapt and change. At HB we have evolved to offer not only a fantastic experience within the restaurant, but also an outstanding delivery and takeaway operation. It’s become extremely important to us, that we deliver food as fresh, hot and quickly as we possibly can. Restaurant Mangers will need to oversee this aspect of the business particularly at peak times. The role is fast paced and an ability to think on your feet and problem solve is essential.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee a service FoH, check-in with guests and offer our guests an exceptional experience. Restaurant Managers will need to be transparent working with and answer directly to our Operations Manager.

Back of the house management experience is preferred. You’ll be required to work with a Head Chef and liaise and assist our company Executive Chef. Restaurant Managers will need to oversee and be ultimately responsible for Labour Budgets, rotas, and Gross Profit margins. Oversee FSA Standards and working practices of chefs. Understanding and experience of Food Safety is essential and Level 2 Food Hygiene as a minimum is preferred.

We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy times in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly, and ensure that our delivery service is ran to the highest standards. A significant portion of the business is now delivered food, so experience with Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat is preferred.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
* Deliver a fantastic Hello Burger Guest Experience
* An ability to help our guests and put things right when we do get it wrong
* Work with our Senior Management, to identify problems and opportunities within the restaurant
* Organise and supervise shifts
* Appraise your team performance and provide feedback and training schedules to improve our guest experience
* Estimate future needs for orders, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety
* Manage restaurant’s good reputation and build our regular guests
* Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
* Create detailed reports on daily (via management whats app group), weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses ( via meetings with senior management)
* Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events ( eg. Hayes Life social media community group)
* Train new and current employees ensuring all training has been provided. Including Certification Shift, Qualifications such as Level 2 Food Hygiene etc

Requirements

* Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
* Proven customer service experience as a manager
* A strong understanding of what Guest Experience means and how that is managed on a daily basis
* Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and our team
* Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Resdiary, GoodTill, Deliverect, RotaCloud, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat
* Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
* Financial management skills and working to a budget
* Understanding of Profit & Loss Accounts

We are looking for drivers who are:
• Good with people and are confident drivers
• Have good local knowledge of Hayes, Bromley and the surrounding areas
• Have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis and a valid driving licence
• Have a car (or moped/motorbike) which is reliable, insured, and registered
• Aged 18+

In return you’ll:
• Enjoy a self-employed role that enables you to earn extra income
• Be able to drive your own vehicle, wear your own clothes, listen to your own music and work on days which suit your schedule
• Be paid weekly (Rates from £10 per hour)
