Woke up to a grey and drizzly day so thought would share a friend we found on a job couple of days ago.

Meet Freddie the frog (named by Harry and Freya)

In our job it's important we check for signs of wildlife before clearing an area. Where possible we leave the area alone or relocate if required.

Such a positive busy week has ended in tears 😭😭😭

Currently both vehicles are not starting or not moving.

We ask that all customers bear with us in the coming days, keeping fingers crossed it's an easy fix for at least 1 so we are not letting customers down.

We have been busy since we returned from holiday in fact feels like we haven't been 🤔

We have now broke up for our holiday. Work phone off, car packed and hitting the road.

Funfact Friday...

African buffalo herds actually use a form of voting when trying to decide which direction to travel in. One at a time, adult females will stand up and look in a certain direction before sitting down. Whichever direction gets the most amount of looks is typically where the herd travels.

Problem is its a hard market to break into and we often get dismissed before we have even said hello.

We are looking for someone who is reliable and hard working who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Flexible hours available ideally looking for someone who has weekday availability as well as weekends.

Work duties include bagging Compost, helping with garden maintenance and removal of Green waste.

Did you know it's not just Compost or garden services we offer.

We are fully waste carriers licensed and can take all garden waste. Here is a job we did yesterday, the customer had done the hard part but was struggling to get rid of the cuttings so got us in to help.

If contemplating a job it's always worth thinking about how you are going to get rid of the rubbish or if a company is coming in, ask them the question. Remember to check they are licensed waste carriers.

So if you find yourself in a position where you can't get rid of the cuttings, drop us a message and we will be happy to help if we can.

The so-called Mud Maid is a living sculpture which can be found in The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall. Being a living sculpture means that her 'clothes' and 'hair' change with the seasons as grass, ivy and moss grow in wither. So you'll see that she has a vibrant appearance in Spring and in Summer and she will look completely different in Autumn and Winter.

We were asked to help provide manpower for a customer's gardener get back on top of the beds after the weather meant garden has gone crazy. Very happy with end result.

The average lifespan of a male bumblebee is 1-2 weeks. In this short time, they must fulfil one very important job: becoming a daddy bumblebee 💕

After leaving the nest, males spend their days hanging out on flowers, drinking nectar, and flying around looking for queens to mate with.

Male Tree bumblebees go a step further. They bring their dancing shoes 🕺

In summer, near the end of the nesting period, male Tree bumblebees will gather in a little dancing cloud outside a nest’s entrance. They are waiting for new queens to emerge.

☁️ The cloud size can range from 1 to 20+ bumblebees – warm temperatures and sunshine increase the numbers.
🔁 Males join and leave the cloud as they move between nests.
⏱️ This activity occurs over most daylight hours and can last several weeks.
⚔️ When new queens finally emerge, the males attempt to mate with them. This is often mistaken as fighting! Paired bumblebees fall to the ground and can remain coupled for a considerable time.
👑 Some new queens choose to fly away, carrying the male to somewhere more private.
