Our bear Felden had a brilliant night with all sections tonight…
He made some Christmas Nativity characters with Anchors;
Learned about road safety with Juniors both as a passenger and a pedestrian, then made and ate Mug Cakes with them;
Joined in drumming class with Company section (he was especially impresssed that in the band book there was a tune named after him!); and
Did more in the kitchen with the Company boys again, making shortbread biscuits!
He also took two of the leaders for a pint afterwards but didn’t want any photo evidence of that.
He’s also said he’d quite like his own page too (quite the little star we have here we think).

What a wonderfully reflective morning for Remembrance Parade 2023 in Catshill.
The boys that attended were really well behaved and were a credit to themselves and our wonderful organisation.
These are a few photographs from our program on Remembrance, the parade lead for the second year running by our drum corp and act of remembrance at the Garden of Remembrance in the village, with Last Post and Reveille played by one of our leaders, who has played at Catshill for over 30 years. Well done!
Thank you to Catshill and North Marlbrook Parish Council and others for organising and everyone who attended and supported the boys.

As we head into the period of remembrance for 2023, we are once again proud to have helped erect the Poppy wall at Bromsgrove Methodist Church and for our Corp of Drummers to be asked to lead the Remembrance Parade in Catshill Village.

Earlier this month we held our annual Enrolment Service, where our members (Officers, helpers and Boys) made their promises before God, enrolling in The Boys’ Brigade for this session.
It was wonderful to see so many family members in church witnessing and participating in the service.
It was especially poignant as it was the last enrolment service from our minister Stephen Levett and also as we have entered our 140th anniversary year.

This week we have welcomed two new boys to our numbers, one in Anchors (R-2) and one in Company (6-8).
We also have some boys coming along after half term for their free two week trials with us…
Just proves it’s never too late to begin your adventure with us!

Great fun was had last night by all sections…
Anchors learned about World Mental Health Day, juniors learned more about our great organisation and our recent 140th anniversary, whilst the eldest boys focused on sports and the age old playground activity of Conkers!

Companies and Members worldwide are joining in celebrations for our 140th Anniversary of our founding in Glasgow by William Alexander Smith.
And we’ll be no different with our activities tonight…

An absolutely fantastic night for the boys to learn about the dangers and stark reality of and how to stay safe.

It’s never too late to start an adventure with The Boys’ Brigade…

Well that’s great news…
Over the summer we’ve had numerous enquiries about boys coming to start their adventure with Boys’ Brigade.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming them along to have a look at what we get up to.
We’ve still got a few spaces left, however sadly we’ve also got a waiting list in operation for some year groups!
So don’t delay if you want to get in touch about someone joining us, you may just be too late!!!

More enquires have been received this week about boys being able to come and give Boys’ Brigade a try when we return for another great session later this month.
Happily we’ve been able to offer conditional spaces for these boys.
If you know anyone that may like to join or would like to have a free trial, please get in touch before it’s too late!!!
