Well that's a wrap! What a season its been!

It all started back in May when I got together with GPX AUDIO to host Bat Fest Alternative Events. on May 4th/5th for a 2 day mini indoor festival, we booked China Shop Bull to play and I had such a good time running sound for them they decided to kidnap me and take us on tour!

Since then we hit up a bunch of awesome festivals along the way, having a great time and meeting new friends!

Its been an incredible opportunity getting to use so many brilliant mixing desks and FOH rigs, special shoutout to the beautiful Danley tops at Equinox this weekend just gone, wow!

The final round of the St Mary's Chambers Rossendale Battle of the Bands is tomorrow!

We were super proud to be asked to sponser this event, and we will be giving away some recording time to the winners!

So here it is, the grand final of our summer Battle of the Bands competition is upon us!!!

We have loved every minute of this competition and we are super excited for the final TOMORROW, packed with local talent, who were voted the best of the best in the competition over the 3 heats 🙌

The Grand Final will feature a line up of many genre's and top talent including Nerve Agents, Zoltar, OfficialShoehorn, The Staags Official, Atlas - Band, Lanterns and Fiasco Jam.

We are massively excited for what is set to be an incredible final and the culmination of the a superb competition.

With guest judges, prize money and runners up prizes at stake and a chance of paid support gigs here at the venue next year, it's all to play for.

We’re looking for musicians, singers, DJs, rappers, spoken word artists and any other young creatives interested in contributing to a youth music event at Burnley Mechanics Theatre on Wednesday 23rd October 2024.

Wow, Boomtown 2024 thats certainly one to remember! Once again on the road with China Shop Bull - the biggest festival yet!

Was a pleasure to use a Midas Pro2 for the first time on Saturday. Really cool desk with lots of room to play around with VCAs and bus controls.

The crowd was absolutely killer, unsurprisingly so as the band absolutely killed it!

What an absolutey mental weekend! After doing sound for 18 bands over 3 days, over 30 hours, I can safely say we smashed it!

Definitely one of the hardest gigs I've ever had to run, but what an absolute pleasure, thank you to all the bands who made my life easier and a huge massive thank you to everyone who donated, always incredible to be part of such a good cause. The Royal Dyche massive shout out to everyone who made this happen and worked their arses off!

Something a little different for us this time!

The Wild Unicorn crew have kindly asked us to run sound for this event, the UKs newest Spice Girl tribute act - Spice Revival.

We'll be there to ensure a top quality show is delivered all around and make sure it all sounds sweet and spicy 😎

Afterwards we are joined by a fierce lineup of some of the best and upcoming deejays in the surrounding area, playing an eclectic mix of genres till late!

Be sure not to sleep on this one, something very different for Sanctuary Burnley 😁

The official name for the Birdland Mascot will be

MCBIRDFACE
Or Birdy for short.

Not only was this the most voted, it also represents the bird, the man, the face of the business, so as silly as it is, thank you Jake Williamson 😆

I loved the other names so much, I've decided to call the peacock on the door DJ Featherspoons, suiting his feathery span and headphones.

To running sound for the absolute legends China Shop Bull at Bearded Theory Festival on Saturday

and finally providing PA, sound and recording for a kick ass Nirvana tribute Burvana.

Back in the studio this week for some recordings, working on a theme song for a comic book, how cool is that? ✍️
