Just a quick word on behalf of Sue, Tony, Ged and Anthony.

A huge thank you to everyone for last night, it was great to see familiar faces supporting the pub as well as friends we don't get to see often and new faces alike. We had a great night, hope you did also! With the future being an unknown and the current climate the way it is, your support makes nights like this even more special.

Also a special thank you to Tom, Liv, George, Ben, Will, Lucas and Connor for taking time out of their busy independent gig schedules, to put on a show for us. You filled our pub with laughter and great vibes just like last year!

Hope we get to experience it again!

With love from The Rogg!

Ben's looking forward to tomorrow's gig, are you? Couple of things to keep in mind to make it a great night for all.

Cash is definitely king, because the card reader is terribly slow.
Try to utilise car park space as best as possible. If anything car share with your friends!
Be respectful of the bands and their gear, it's not cheap.
For extra brownie points from Sue, bring your empties to the bar, unless you'd prefer Anthony getting up close and personal when glass collecting 😜.
When leaving, please bear in mind we have some neighbours who probably won't be in attendance.

Lastly, have a great time, first band on from about 8:30pm

18/02/2024

As Sunday finishes
And you plan next week
Consider the Rogg
And a night of musique

Saturday 24th, 8pm onwards, CBA rhyming anymore. Cash is king, card reader sucks.

The Roggerham Gate Inn Pendleside Hospice charity calendar is well underway! Each month now has a corporate or personal sponsor from local businesses and residents.

All we need now is more photos for the competition. Do you think you have a great photo of the local area that will help raise funds for a good cause? Please drop us a message if you'd like to send a snap or two to be considered for the calendar. Naturally they need to be a high resolution for best results when being printed!

Let's see what you've got!

23/08/2021

Hi folks,

We are still open for business regardless of the Extwistle Road closure and intend to be throughout the works. We think it's still passable on foot 🤞

If Electricity North West or Lancashire County Council want to be courteous and drop us a line next time, to forewarn us they'll completely cut us off from our nearest source of custom, we'd greatly apprecaite.

19/08/2021

It's been a while but people haven't forgotten our charity calendar photo competition, we've had some crackers coming in.

If you want to submit your photography from the local area (nature, landscape, wildlife etc) please get in touch. You'll have the chance of your photo being included in our charity calendar where all proceeds will go to Pendleside Hospice

We still have only a couple of slots left for sponsorship too. If youd like to personally sponsor a month or your business, please do drop us a message! Your business logo or personal message will be included on your chosen month.

Happy snapping!

He returned at 5:30pm and completed more than 30km, actually doing 35km!

Thank you everyone who has donated, the link is still open until Sunday for anyone who wishes to donate or you can do so behind the bar. We'll be announcing the final count after the weekend. Also thank you to everyone who wished Anthony well and was there to celebrate at the end, a few pints were definitely required!

Most of you may know, our Anthony is doing a charity walk for his birthday. This time round he turns 30 so he's decided to walk 30km from the Rogg to the top of Pendle Hill and back, IN A KILT!

It's taking place on Friday 18th June and he's hoping to raise as much as possible either online or in person. If you do nip in, please consider supporting him or clicking the below link.

All funds raised will be split between Pendleside Hospice and his own charity New Build Locomotive Scotland, who are building the first steam engine in Scotland in over 60 years.

For all you football fans, you'll notice England play Scotland that evening which we will be showing, hopefully he'll be back in time for a pint and to watch the game. Please do join us that evening for a good old time!

We've had a fantastic first weekend back indoors as the weather stays typically British. We even had a pleasant surprise on Friday evening being a checkpoint for a fantastic charity challenge.

Teachers of Stanbury Village School undertook a 22 mile walk from Gawthorpe Hall to Stanbury Village School in aid of Winston's Wish (a children bereavement charity) and also to fund IT equipment for the school. Even beginning the walk in Bronte period clothing (although the weather didn't help matters!).

We were so delighted to support them on their way, warming up with cups of tea and a few digestives.

If anyone would like to support their very worthwhile cause, please donate following the below link!
