Pharmacy First service gives patients the opportunity to visit their pharmacist as their first point of contact for minor health conditions, rather than their GP. It is a walk-in service; therefore no appointments are required. The service will cover seven common health conditions:
Impetigo
Earache
Shingles
Sore throat
Sinusitis
Infected insect bites
Urinary Tract Infections (women)
Patients can consult with a qualified pharmacist for the treatment of the above conditions. Pharmacists can offer advice, recommend over the counter medications and prescribe antibiotics when deemed necessary. We can collect prescriptions from a number of local surgeries for your convenience - making our services easier to access for the local community. Our pharmacists are here to help with your minor ailments: including common coughs, fevers, diarrhoea, stomach pain and headaches. Brunshaw Pharmacy staff can offer support and advice for a range of issues. We can provide our patients with domiciliary support, post-discharge support and provide smoking support for those wanting to quit for good.
