If anyone is planning on popping in today and happens to have access to some bramble (black Berry bush) it would be really appreciated if you could drop a few bits off!

We've some hungry stick insects and the usual bramble patches have been taken away to build the silly Starbucks carpark and not done too well over winter.

Hi guys, this is just a gentle reminder that we will not (and have not for years) sell what we consider unmanageable species to the public.

These include:

Green iguanas
Burmese pythons
Reticulated pythons
Green and yellow anacondas
Common boas
Most but not all monitor lizards

This is not all species we won't sell but gives you a good idea on the realms within we keep things restricted.

We have two gorgeous whites tree frogs available.

Highly entertaining species and tough as old boots.

With the frog and Co exo terra vivarium on special offer, there's never going to be a better time to get them with full setup with almost £100 off the vivarium!

Exactly a month until Christmas! (😆/😭)

Anyone wishing for a lizard, snake, tortoise or invertebrate shaped present under their tree this year?

Personally, I'd love to get a tegu again!

What's your wish list pet ?

On the run up to Christmas please remember that before we can sell an animal we have to see an appropriate setup , already setup and waiting for the animal.

We can not release an animal that we have for sale before we've seen the setup (a photograph) and we know your basking site temps, cool side temps and what uv bulb you're useing and the age of the uv bulb.

We also test uv tubes (for free!).

Setups can be purchased from us and we can go through how to setup any vivarium.
If you do pick up a "full setup" from anywhere else we still need to see it and know temps/uv information.

Few handy tips when setting up a vivarium:

1.Thermostats are a sure fire way to attain appropriate basking temperature sites (not to be confused with thermometers).

2.Thermometers are no good stuck half way up the viv (unless it's an arboreal species) , they need to be as close to the basking area as possible.
Pretend the thermometers are the animal, they need to be on level to where the animal will be.

3.Any food and water dishes should be placed in the cool end of the vivarium. This ensures the food and water stays fresher for longer.

4.Make sure you have appropriate vitamin and calcium supplements. These are essential for Lizards and amphibians (not invertebrates and snakes).

5.Ask us questions, no matter how daft you think the question is we are here to help you and the animals. We'd rather you ask us and not on Facebook groups, you'll have a fall back on us if needs be but anyone can give bad advice online and never speak to you again.

6. The obvious one, majority of reptiles/amphibians can live a long life if cared for properly. Bare this in mind when you're considering them as a Christmas gift. Some species will out live us given the appropriate husbandry so be mindful of this!
