East Staffs Gymnastics Club

Great start to the competition season at the Staffs County Comp 2024. The girls travelled to Lilleshall to compete at this wonderful venue. Lots of new skills and routines performed and great results:

Copper - 2nd Evie, 3rd Gabriella
Bronze - 1st Taeya
Well done to Georgia winning top beam mark for Bronze and Paige and Sadie winning top Beam mark in whole comp. Thanks to parents and coaches for all their support.

An absolutely fantastic afternoon at our squad Olympic Team Competition. The gymnasts had a brilliant competition with lots of new skills performed and all encouraging each other. It was the best atmosphere we have ever had in our gym created by our wonderful parents and supporters - well done to everyone for making it such a success and to team South Africa for winning.

Congratulations to all our gymnasts who competed in West Midlands Grades. So many exciting results to report to establish us as one of the leading clubs again with the most medals yet again. 100% high pass rates and placings as follows:

Prep 1 - 2nd Connie 5th Chloe
Perp 2 - 6th Isabelle, Holly 1st range
prep 3 - 2nd Evie and 1st on floor and range
Dev 1 - 2nd Amelia and 1st on range 3rd Gabriella
Dev 3 - 1st Georgia and 3rd Alloya with 1st on Vault, 5th Taeya
Dev 4 - 3rd Grace with 1st on floor and range and 4th Hollie.

What a start to grades 2024.
Naoise - Pre Excel 1 - 1st Bars and 2nd overall with one fall on range and no training for two weeks being poorly.
Holly - 6th overall with just one fall on range.
Sadie - Silver overall and Gold on floor and Range and one fall on Beam.
Paige - Gold on Beam and Gold Overall - West Midlands regional excel 1 champion.
Well done girls with lovely comments from Brevet judges on our beautiful floor routines - best of the day! Very proud and well done for all your hard work.

Congratulations to our 3 Excel gymnasts who took part in their first practice comp of the year at Rugby Rocks. A great day and the gymnasts enjoyed the experience. Lots of medals and apparatus awards - Well done girls.

Another fantastic set of results for our club today. This morning saw the girls crowned Level 5 team apparatus champions and also Naoise winning Pre Compulsory 5. This afternoon matched that with another regional title in the Copper level - well done girls - we are so proud of you all for smashing your routines and no mistakes all round! Great team spirit and well done coaches for all your hard work and dedication.

Well done to Georgia winning Gymnast of the month for continued effort and improvement and excellent results in regional grades - taking first place by over two marks!

Congratulations to all our Grade 3 and 2 gymnasts. Every gymnast winning a medal or rosette at West Midlands regionals and Georgia who won range and overall champion at Regional 3.

Well done to Sadie for winning gymnast of the month for July. Sadie has improved her conditioning and work rate and conquered her fears on Beam. Well done Sadie!

Congratulations to Holly from our Development Group who was awarded Gymnast of the Month for competition squad. Holly has really improved her strength conditioning and is working hard in all areas. Keep up the good work Holly.

Congratulations to all our gymnasts who competed at the weekend and passed with flying colours.
So close to medals (0.01!) in Grade 3 finishing 4th and 5th but more rosettes. Special mention to Grace who missed out on range champion by 0.05 but a fantastic range score of 13.25!
And to Bethany who finished 3rd and Bronze medal winner in Grade 1. Well done to all.

Lots of fun by all those who attended the Easter Holiday Club today. Working round all apparatus, race games to warm up, Easter egg hunt and finishing with each group spelling out E A S T E R! Well done to all those who took part and thanks to all the coaches - everyone had a great time.

We hope all our members are enjoying their Easter break. Anyone booked on the holiday course we will see them on Thursday 21st at 9.30am.
For All our existing members, classes start back week beginning 25th April.

Another fantastic set of results from these young ladies . Grade 6 - 8 year olds regional champs - 1st place Bars Sadie, 1st place Beam Chloe, overall 5th Chloe, 3rd Evie and 2nd Sadie. Thanks to all those who came to support and very proud especially with comments from other coaches about how smart, tidy and well prepared the East Staffs girls were. Well done all🤸
