When in Rome

Hands up if you can't handle our English weather right now? I don't know whether to pop on a pair of shorts or to grab a winter coat for the school run?! It's been a little on the wet and wintry side the past few days so we've been enjoying one of our favourite blends to warm up a bit:

Well, you can find Peru in Western South America. The country is bordered by no less than five different countries: Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Ecuador. The capital city is Lima and the official language spoken is Spanish.

It is said that the Peruvians like their coffee strong and black with either a couple of spoons of sugar or a dash of Evaporated Milk.

Sadly Eunice took her toll last night and we saw lots of damaged trees and buildings on our delivery route today. We count ourselves lucky that our electricity was back on this morning 🙏 but we know so many of you are still waiting.

For all the Hot Chocolate Lovers out there....I've been told on a number of occasions that our Artisan Hot Chocolate is even more amazing when made with a Velvetiser.

I needed to check this out for myself so borrowed a one from a friend and was not disappointed! There are many different brands out there but we used one by

It came out perfectly blended, creamy and with a lovely foam on top 👌

Treated myself to a new kettle recently and forgot to throw in a couple of our Kettle Protectors. Just a couple of weeks later, the element at the bottom was caked with the dreaded scale!

It's one of those jobs that you have on 'the list' and today was the day! After a descale treatment it looks lovely and shiny again 😊 Now with my kettle protectors in there too, it'll be a little longer before it needs doing again....

Following a rather hectic December, we've taken January at a much slower pace. In fact, we can't believe it's almost February already and this is our first post of 2022!

Here's a pic from when we visited the in London last weekend. A reminder that we are among the latest to join a long long line of coffee fanatics...this Siphon Action Coffee Infuser dates back to the 1880's and takes me back to chemistry lessons and Bunsen burners!
