Today, I had the pleasure of visiting to share our new coffee table books and information leaflets. It’s always wonderful to see our Funeral Directors in their place of work. Their compassion and dedication for exceptional service is clearly visible in all they do.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Angela, Isobel, and Jess from West Suffolk SANDS to the West Suffolk Cemetery & Crematorium. We are excited to announce that we will be collaborating with WS SANDS to promote Baby Loss Awareness Week from October 9th to 15th. Please follow our posts for more information on how we supporting this important cause together.

Today we recognise National Bereaved Parents Day to raise awareness of all parents who have lost a child of any age.

We honour and remember the precious lives that are no longer with us and extend our deepest sympathies to their families. If you know someone who has lost a child, reach out with a kind word or a hug. Your support can make a world of difference.

Our grounds are a welcoming place to reflect and offer a quiet moment of peace for those wanting to honour their loved ones today.

Janine,Leigh and Charlotte completed the Sunset Walk in aid of St Nicholas Hospice. They even had time for a quick photo as they walked past Armstrongs Independent Family Funeral Service.

West Suffolk Crematorium was honoured to hold the funeral service of D Day hero Bill Gladden.
Mr Gladden was one of the soldiers who took part in the Normandy landing in 1944 which would ultimately liberate France. Aged just 20 years old Mr Gladden was one of many who flew into Normandy on a Hamilcar glider.
His regiment, the 6th Airborne Reconnaissance Regiment, was tasked with protecting the Strategically important Pegasus Bridge.

Today we are remembering fathers and father figures and our thoughts are with everyone who is missing theirs.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a day that changed the course of history. Let's take a moment to honour and remember the brave soldiers who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. Their courage will never be forgotten.
