Natasha 👰🏻‍♀️
Can we all take a moment to appreciate this BEAUTIFUL bride…
It was an absolute pleasure to do Natasha’s makeup for her wedding day, I feel like we’ve both been talking about her big day foreverrr🥹
After trying different styles of makeup and colours we decided on fresh glowing makeup (that skin!!) with soft petal pink shades 🌸

Who says us fair skin girlies can’t glow too, look at this fresh beautiful skin 💗

To create a beautiful glow for any skin tone the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter is the ONE. Gives a beautiful fresh radiant finish on its own, you can use a darker shade to bronze and if you are someone who prefers fuller coverage you can mix it into your foundation too. Definitely a power product 💥

& here are my list of Don’ts 💗

If you have got this far from my previous post WELL DONE because this is one of the longest posts I have ever typed up but I’ve just got to keep you all in the know ✨

Don’ts:

1. Experimenting With New Products
Avoid trying out new skincare products or treatments too close to your wedding day. The last thing you want is an allergic reaction to the products you’ve used or potential breakouts.

2. Avoid Excessive Sun Exposure
Yes this one is for all you tan lovers out there, overexposure to the sun can lead to sunburn, skin damage, and uneven tan lines. SMOTHER that SPF on if you are out in the sun.

3. Avoid Harsh Scrubs:
While exfoliating is important, avoid using harsh scrubs or exfoliants that can irritate your skin. I’d always recommend gentle exfoliants such as liquids to avoid causing any damage.

4. Don’t Pick at Your Skin
I am super guilty of doing this one but try to avoid the temptation of picking, squeezing, or popping any pimples or blemishes on your face. It can lead to inflammation and scarring.

5. Avoid Overindulging in Unhealthy Foods
Avoid consuming excessive amounts of sugary snacks, processed foods, and alcohol… easier said then done but your skin will thank you for it.

6. Brow Waxing
If you are wanting your brows to look perfected before your big day I’d opt to have threading or going with a trusted brow technician that has shaped your brows before and at-least 2 weeks before your big day. Brow waxing can be unpredictable for the skin which can put it at risk of inflammation or an allergic reaction.

7. Avoid Lash Lift (if you are wanting strip lashes)
You’re probably thinking “Emily r u ok? You said do get a lash lift” which is correct if you’re not having strip lashes applied. But if you have a lash lift prior & still want lashes they can cause the lashes to flip upwards which will create a different eye shape to what you had envisioned.

8. Avoid Cosmetic Injectibles Too Close To The Big Day
Cosmetic injectables like fillers & botox can give amazing results but just make sure you give your skin enough recovery time before the wedding so that the skin is not red, bruised or swollen.

Shoutout to all my brides-to-be 👰

… or anyone with a special occasion coming up 💃

Here are my Do’s and Don’ts to make sure your skin is looking and feeling it’s very best for your big day 🍾

Do’s:
1. Start A Skincare Routine
If you do not already have consistent skincare routine in place it’s best to start at-least 3-6 months before your big day. Cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin morning and night to keep it healthy and hydrated and use an exfoliant twice weekly to get rid of any build up of dirt and dead skin cells.

2. Hydration From Within
There’s only so much hydration your trusty moisturiser can do, so make sure that you are drinking plenty of water this will make sure your skin is hydrated and will maintain its natural moisture.

3. Eating A Balanced Diet
We’re all guilty of an evening sugar binge on chocolate or whatever treats we have in the cupboards (well I am anyway) but unfortunately our skin doesn’t enjoy it as much as we do and can cause breakouts. Before your big day try to consume fruit/vegetables and foods that are rich in antioxidants, this will promote healthier looking skin.

4. Protect Your Skin
An SPF 30 or above is essential for protecting your skin from harmful UV rays and possible pigmentation.

5. Dermaplaning Treatment
Dermaplaning 2 weeks before your wedding day will ensure that your makeup doesn’t sit on any of that pesky “peach fuzz” and give your skin a lovely smooth finish.

6. Hydration Treatment
Using a serum or a mask the evening before the wedding will ensure your skin is plump and hydrated the next day. Just make sure it is a treatment that you have used before that you know your skin loves (the same goes for having a facial make sure your skin is used to the products being used).

7. Lash Lift
For my makeup lovers that prefer not to wear falsies on the big day this is a great alternative to get more dramatic looking lashes naturally. If you are a lash lift virgin please make sure you try this treatment at-least 2 months prior to the wedding to make sure you do not react to the treatment and that you like the results.

Head over to my next post for the list of Don’ts 💗

Gorgeous Nickie with a beautiful natural makeup look ✨
The saying “less is more” is definitely right when it comes to how much product you actually apply to the skin.. especially if you are wanting a fresh natural look with glowy skin (even if I am still using 101 different products) 💗
