Another container of coffee from arrived today. This time in 1 tonne bulk bags. Although it’s not as pretty it significantly reduces the packaging. Thanks for his awesome work getting this to us direct from his family farms in the Alta Mogiana region of Brazil

Once we are happy with the roast profile we scale up to production.

Once we have checked the quality of the green coffee we run some sample roasts ready for cupping. This is the next step in developing the roast profile.
Quality control is a daily part of our work at crude.
Every lot of green coffee we get is graded before we develop its unique roast profile. This helps us to understand not only the quality of the coffee but how it will perform in the roaster.
This is Joe, Joe is our head roaster. He loves nothing more than roasting coffee. His meticulous attention to detail means every batch is perfectly roasted.

We love it when an install goes to plan, and we’re super-proud to have The Lodge cafe at The All Saints hotel in Bury St Edmunds now serving Crude Coffee.
They wanted something unique and we’ve made up a tasty custom blend of Central and South American speciality coffee that’s only available at the hotel.
They’ll be brewing up on a Conti X-One and Compak E6 grinder, supplied and installed by Daryll @ Coffee Speed.
Another great day of coffee tasting, training and installation down at Burnt House Vineyard in Stowmarket, just in time for their big opening weekend.
They’ll be serving our lovely direct trade, single estate Brazil São Lucas coffee, along with Novus tea and Chocista real flake hot chocolate using a Conti CC102 supplied and fitted by Coffee Speed. 👌
