Our Christmas window for 2022! 🎄
This year we have up-cycled a window from a previous display 4 years ago! We make every detail on our window displays each year, and this was by far one of the trickiest to date! The construction, all the details on the house and the gingerbread characters are all handmade by our small team of 5! Autumn Fair ticked off for another year! We spent a day and a half here doing our buying for A/W, due to the small size of it now. It’s sad to see how many companies have had to miss out on this event due to the never ending amount of extra costs and craziness this world is giving us at the moment!
But on a whole, we have found some new exciting products and some brilliant pieces for the upcoming months ahead!

Brights and decadence for our window again, because why not! We are coming too the end of our summer months but we couldn’t resist another summer window display before the weather starts to change.
We are prepping ourselves for our big Autumn/Winter stock buying week at the NEC at Birmingham at the start of September! We can’t wait to show you some of what we have already pre-ordered 😍

Happy Father’s Day to all those wonderful dads out there. Many of you maybe celebrating with them, some without, the father figures and the angels that are not with us no more. Dads are amazing inside and out and as a bonus we have so many gifts for any man all through the year not just for days like these.

Who doesn’t love a high end beautiful afternoon tea in the garden. Our window is a dreamy British set up fit for The Queen herself.
The stunning new Pip Studio range is taking pride and place in our window, amongst the subtle tropical elements of the grasses reflecting the colourful scene in the mirrors 🇬🇧🌸

Easter is next weekend and we have created the most perfect window for you all! A vibrant, happy, colourful window is what we love most.
This year our Easter bike has had a little revamp and is taking pride and place in our window this April.
Our Easter decorations have been so popular this year, we have a small selection left in store to get your hands on 🐣🍫

Can you believe we are already in March?
The weather hasn’t been the best the last few days, but there’s nothing we love more than all the spring flowers coming through, the vibrancy that it honours giving us that spring feeling after the winter months that we have had. Our new window display is definitely a mood booster, with a positive happy vibe that we hope will rub off on anyone walking past:)
This week we have had lots of new stock in so far, with more goodies on the way! We are open 7 days a week so please pop in and indulge in our treasure trove of a shop!

Yes, the brilliant series Peaky Blinders is back on our screens tonight and we have all the Flat Caps and Baker Boy hats to get this desired look that was all the trend back in the 1900s!
We also have a variety of colours and sizes to choose from! Alongside lots of other perfect gifts and gadgets for those men that are always hard to buy for!

We have some gorgeous new lamps in store to brighten up the shop in this wild January we are having!
Our shelves maybe a little sparse in some areas due to a full on Christmas period, but we are hoping to bring lots of new exciting products, with new designers and supporting local and British businesses into our shop over the next couple of months!

Kicking January off with some of our favourite homeware pieces and gift ideas in the shop at the moment. We are in full January bloom, a new year and hopefully a better one for everyone all round. A big spring clean for the shop, as we are excited for the upcoming months ahead with lots of new products, and lines coming in for spring/summer 2022!

Loft & Spires Christmas Window 2021

Christmas should be a magical time for all but especially children. This year the L&S team, of five strong, started its creative think tank back in February and decided to adopt the Christmas window theme of The Snow Queen to excite the children of Bury and to provide some nostalgia for the rest of us. Equally important, our display needed to add light and sparkle to dark winter days.

Design and construction commenced in the summer. Svenson, our recycled polar bear, is made from excess packaging received in the shop -: paper, cardboard and bubble wrap
The Snow Queens castle was designed by Alice and cut out from remnants of board we had kept over the years, textured with a mixture of sand and glue, decorated with snowflakes and lit with colour changing LEDs.
The sleigh,which had been used in a previous display, was up cycled and given a complete makeover with glitter and snowflakes.
Our Snow Queens dress has been designed and completely hand stitched by the exceptionally talented Lizzy and her apprentice Alice who spent hours sewing every bead, snowflake and star onto it. Alice skilfully worked on the Queens face makeup and hair
Every tree in the display has been hand painted to make them look extra icy and ‘snowed up’ using a mixture of cotton wool and PVA

This years window has been one of the hardest and most time consuming ones the team has embarked on. Recycling and up cycling has made it the most satisfying to make. We do hope that it brings some joy to all our customers and those visiting the town.
