An exciting milestone for our new early years cohort.
I hope you took lots of pictures in the new uniform? Oh how smart they looked 🥺
Thank you for entrusting us with you little ones.

Good morning St. Mary’s family!
💙⭐️🙏🌈
We are so excited that we are all back together today.
We can’t wait to see you all and share the new class spaces that we have been working so hard to prepare for you.
We will be at the gate in the morning to ease any worries.
EY parents can head straight to the EY garden where your teachers will be waiting to greet you. If you are unsure we will be there to help.
See you soon.
Whether returning, or going for the very first time, join us in a prayer for those going to school this week. 🙏
We are all looking forward to seeing the children back in school tomorrow!
💙
As your PE days have not been announced yet, please bring kit in your bag as you normally would to leave on pegs for this week.
⭐️
As it is a short week, the usual timetable has been condensed so PE will happen at different times to normal.
🙏
Bring your kit on Wednesday to be prepared for the week (unless you have a different arrangement as discussed with your teacher.)
🌈
You will find out your PE day by the end of this week.
Looking forward to seeing the happy faces at the gate in the morning.
Back to school nerves?
We get it.
Try these techniques….
Instead of covering the feelings with a ‘brave’ plaster that sounds like :
“it will be fun!! Come on - all of your friends are there!!”
Try to actually Acknowledge that it WILL feel difficult.
Start by acknowledging this feeling is anxiety.
Be curious as to where does the feeling sit for you? We are all different.
Does it feel hard in your,
Heart?
Tummy?
Head?
Acknowledge and share a similar experience (I felt the same on my first day / when joining a club / meeting new people etc)
Share that tou know that teachers will feel the same too.
We really do 🤭
Then talk about how the first step inevitably leads to joy.
Because it does.
Every time.
🩵
What we focus on is just the first step.
🌈
🙏
We want to build resilient strong children.
🌈
The way to do that is to be completely okay with the big emotions, they happen. But we don’t get flooded by them.
You’ve got this!!
We’ve got them too.
We can’t wait to see their smiles.
🩵⭐️🌈🙏
