Most of you know my gorgeous girl from when I used to bring her to work as a puppy and often I’m asked about her.
Unfortunately today she made her journey over the rainbow bridge and we had to say our goodbyes 😢 she has been a wonderful family dog and many times I joked that she was my favourite child!
I’m happy to say we gave her a great life but we already miss her deeply 💔 Look at those ears 😆😍

Ethan and a few of the lads from his football team are doing the IRONKIDS this year, where they’ll run 1k to raise money for JDRF a charity which you all know means so much to us!

I’ve just been informed there has been a fault in the booking system and bookings have been accepted on the week of Wednesday the 6th- Saturday the 9th March. I’m actually not even in the UK that week and had closed any bookings some time ago, so I’m not sure how the appointments were even made. I’ve had to cancel any appointments made so could you please check availability again and re-book for what suits you.
I can only apologise and hope you understand. I’m so annoyed at it 😔

I honestly can’t thank you all enough, whether you’ve been in a couple of times, every week, two weeks, months etc.

When I say thank you, it’s not for just coming in and having your hair cut... it’s because you help me pay the mortgage, make sure my boys doesn’t go without and be able to live the lovely life I have! So many of you have supported me through so much!

It isn’t me that’s made the business what it is today, it’s all of you!! I will always appreciate it and will never be able to thank you enough!

Check out the window 😍 On Tuesday I handed the keys over to my sons childminders children who she cares for, when they created the window along side ‘Peter and Friends’ featuring Jemima puddle duck, Benjamin bunny, Peter Rabbit and Miss Tiggy-Winkle with her little washing basket. Not forgetting Mr Todd who has been drawn on the window, peeping round the tree.

(Disclaimer: before the grammar police start- I wrote ‘Peter and friends’ and yes the s is backwards 😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️ not bad to say I wrote the whole thing backwards 🤣)

We’re not 100% sure what exactly was drawn on the door, but that was by the littlest ones 🥰😍 so you’ll have to be creative and imagine it’s Beatrix Potter related 😂

So many have stopped to have a look and it’s a wonderful idea that was put together by some wonderful local people!

You can collect a hunt list/voting form from the shop on the days that I open (Wednesday-Saturday). Happy hunting ❤️

This is going to come across bossy and it really isn’t meant to… so at the moment I have no appointments until the 16th August, just one at 1:30 and the same time on Thursday the 17th. These are the only 2 available that week. So this is all that’s available until the 1st September (I’m away the week of the 21st).
Please, please, please block book your appointments. If you do this via the app ‘myBARBERapp’ you can cancel and rearrange on there if you need to.
Missed appointments will be charged or those which have not been cancelled within 24 hours. If you are more than 5 minutes late unfortunately we’ll need to rearrange and you will be charged, I’m squeezing people in as much as possible and can’t run late for clients.
If you do need to cancel your appointment, would you please give me a heads up so I can offer it to someone on the cancellation list please!

Who has so very kindly donated her fee towards my sons charity walk this Sunday!! ❤️ I can’t thank her enough!

You all always ask after my type 1 warrior and know the battles we face daily.
This was all Ethan’s idea, (although he originally suggested walking to Manchester 😂). So I’m going to push it as much as I can for him. This Sunday we’re going to walk to Bury and back, with dinner in between.
His target was to raise £100 and has nearly tripled it!!!!

Last week I had the lovely Tom in who’s temporarily back from Australia. Tom first came in when I first opened at 21 nearly 12 years ago and did until he moved out there. It was SOOO lovely to see him and have a catch up!

Yesterday I had such a lovely day back at work and the break from everything that’s been going on was nice too.

I have a million things on my to do list, even writing this has taken me a few attempts in between den making 😂❤️

But the news so many of you have been waiting for is I’M COMING BACK!!!! 🥳 I bloody love my job, don’t get me wrong, of course I love my kids more. But that’s the reason we work anyway, to give them the best we can… and pay the gas and electric 🙄😂

Long story short… George is no longer at ALY Barbers, if you’d like to message me to ask why, that’s fine. If you’d like to message him to ask why, that’s also fine. If you’d like his details then of course I will pass them on to you.

So after a bit of shuffling around, I’ve managed to sort child care for my baby munchkin, however, unfortunately, just less then 2 weeks ago my oldest munchkin was admitted to hospital and has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. So you can imagine it’s been a very difficult time for us all, especially with having a baby too.

Because of this, I can not leave him in another’s care so today he’s being my super duper helper! I am looking into the appointments already booked and trying to juggle them round to where I can but for now I have turned the online booking off. It will mean I will have to close for a few weeks whilst I’m planning nursery childcare for one and working with Ethan’s school towards a care plan so he can return. Since this has happened whilst school have been closed even they are unaware of it, but I do know he can’t return until the diabetic training team have been in.

If you have hair appointments booked in for special occasions then please let me know and if you can I will be happy to come down late at night to make sure you look s**c and span 😍 sending you all lots of love and thanks for everything, as always!
