If you want to give your kids a laugh, try steering your own punt. If the less brave, or some might say stupid, hire one of the many professionals who know one end of a punt from another.
2. CAMBRIDGE SCIENCE CENTRE - located in the Science Park, this interactive space is brilliant for expanding kids’ minds and getting them away from devices.
3. FITZWILLIAM MUSEUM - a must-do on any trip to Cambridge, the permanent collection has over half a million art works and objects including works from Degas, Picasso, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Rembrandt but to name a few.
4. FITZBILLIES - after expanding your mind at the Fitzwilliam Museum, head over to one of the branches to indulge in their famous Chelsea Buns. They’re officially the size of your face and must be washed down with a delicious Earl Grey tea.
5. RIDE A BIKE - Cambridge wouldn’t be Cambridge without cycling. It’s a wonderful way to get around the city. Bikes can be hired and there’s plenty of cycle paths for all the family.

You know a house is old when it has keys like this! Darwin’s Townhouse, our stunning 5 storey townhouse in Central Cambridge was built in the 1800s and was once home to Sir Horace Darwin, son of Charles Darwin. We love the history of our houses

I did it! Time according to my Apple Watch: 2 hours and 23 minutes. Not too bad for my first go…thank you so much to everyone who has been able to donate, you’re lovely and deserve a medal too. Thank you to Bessy, Cate and Mike for supporting me during months of training and making a ginormous banner today, it was a real boost to help me over the finish line. Did you know that when you’re staying at our 5 bed place in the centre of town, you have not one but TWO independent bakeries on your doorstep who hand make delicious pastries and bread…top tip is to get there early on Sunday mornings and expect to queue (it’s always worth the wait though!)
