Today let’s not only celebrate our mothers past and present but all those women who have inspired and molded us with their strength, compassion, trust and unreserved love.

These women weren’t necessarily our mothers or mothers themselves but gave and continue to give of themselves to nurture others whose paths they cross.

Happy Mother’s Day to all 💛.

Looking for something different to have as part of your wedding celebration...

The Unity Cross

The Unity Cross is a cross in 3 parts that you assemble as part of your wedding ceremony. The outer form of the Unity Cross represents the strength, leadership, and protection of the man. The bride's piece of the Unity Cross represents the beauty and the many capabilities of the woman. The bride's piece is designed with intricate, beautiful detail and is placed inside the protection of the groom's cross. When they put the two pieces together, it represents the two becoming one. The Sculpture is held together by 3 pins. One for the Bride, Groom, and God.

Breaking the Bread Ceremony

The happy couple are being greeted by their parents with bread and salt and a glass of wine. The parents sprinkle the bread with salt and give it to the newlyweds to eat. The bread represents the parents hope that their children will never experience hunger or need, the salt reminds the couple that their life may be difficult at times, and they must learn together to cope with life's struggles.

The parents now present the glass of wine to the happy couple to drink. With the wine, the parents hope that they will never thirst and that they will have a life of good health and cheer and share the company of many good friends.

The parents now join in kissing the newlyweds as a welcome to the family and as a sign of their love and unity.

Looking for something different to have as part of your wedding celebration...

Log Sawing Ceremony

This tradition German and is called Baumstamm Sägen, and it requires the couple to be on either end of a handsaw while they saw a log in half. While the tradition might seem a bit rustic for a wedding, its symbolism couldn't be more beautiful. The physical act of sawing the log together is meant to represent each person's strength, and their combined strength, as they come together to share a life, facing challenges that married couples often deal with.
