As we reflect on this year’s Magdalene May Ball, we’d like to take a moment to recognize our wonderful Benson sponsors Niall Mclaughlin Architects and Cheffins for all of their generous support. Thank you for helping make this ball into a whimsical reality! ✨💃🏼

Absolutely unmissable acts will be featuring on this stage: from the legendary Cambridge rock ban, Cheap Date performing what is one of their last ever Cambridge gigs for us tonight, to Quasar, delivering a masterful fusion of jazz and hip-hop, and the distinguished local institution of groove, the Funk Outreach Project.

On the Main Stage will also have the honor of welcoming ONE of our headliners (hint: we’ve got a real soft spot for them) as well as our legendary tribute act! All of which will be revealed this weekend!

🍸The Dance Stage 🍸

The Dance Stage will be the place to be for an ultimate fusion of DnB, Electronic, and UKG and house beats!s The stage will welcome esteemed Cambridge DJ duo Gary & Ed, Art Beat who was an absolute hit at our event last year, and Barqiemoon, a producer and DJ coming all the way from Belgium to make his UK debut with his high-powered selections.

Our SECOND headliner will also be featuring on this stage — keep an eye out for the big reveal this weekend!

Spice up your night with this eclectic mix of student artists on the Swing Stage. Whether you want to get on your feet and dance salsa with Los Orejitos or cool down to Eva’s peaceful pop ballads — we cater to all your tastes!

Nested within our stunning Formal Hall is Club Foy, welcoming throughout the night ACS Compozers covering the best Afrobeats and hip-hop tunes, the creative and energetic jazz improvisations of the New Horizons Trio , and Magdalene’s very own talents Harry and Adam!

⏳Magdalene May Ball Timings ⏳

Here is some important information regarding May Ball timings!

Wrist band collection 🎫:
As to speed up the queues this year we have set up an early wristband collection system available to all ticket holders. You will be able to come collect your wristband at Magdalene College between 10-5pm on the day of the Ball (21/06). Only the individual that is named on the ticket can come collect their wristband. Please bring a photo ID and the QR code you will be sent a week prior.

You may collect your wristband upon arrival at the Ball but you will risk a delayed entry process and longer queuing time.

Ball timings 🪩🍾

6.15pm- Gates open for dining guests

Guests will be welcomed by a champagne and oyster reception. Queueing will be along Magdalene Street and Quayside - please note there will be a separate line for Queue Jump

7.00pm - Dinner in Fellows’ Garden served to all dining guests

8.30pm - Gates open for non-dining guests

Guests will be welcomed by a champagne reception in Second Court. Queueing will be along Magdalene Street and Quayside - please note there will be a separate line for Queue Jump

5.50 am - Survivors’ Photo

6.00 am - Depature

This year the committee has worked hard to provide our May Ball attendees with discounted White Tie hire in partnership with James of Ely! Confirmed ticket buyers will receive an email tonight about the upcoming fitting dates and options. ✉️
