Let's Look At SEO + ChatGpt - The Good! The Bad! & The Ugly!...

We understand the importance of SEO in driving traffic and conversions to your website, that's why we wanted to share some insights on how AI-generated content like ChatGPT can impact your SEO efforts.

Google's quality rater guidelines are a critical factor in determining the quality of search results. These guidelines evaluate web pages based on four key characteristics: Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trust, commonly known as E-E-A-T. ChatGPT, as an AI content tool, can be measured against these guidelines to assess its SEO potential.

Interestingly, when we asked ChatGPT to write a blog post on key search trends for 2023, it highlighted the importance of E-A-T (the older version) and insisted on its significance. Although the system's information may be out of date, it correctly identified the importance of E-E-A-T, which was recently updated in the guidelines.

Google is increasingly adding more detail to its guidelines, which is not a coincidence since AI content tools are becoming mainstream. As a result, E-E-A-T will become even more crucial for Google to verify the quality of content produced by experts. Therefore, it's essential to ensure your content meets these guidelines to rank higher in search results.

So, how does ChatGPT stack up against Google's four most important characteristics of content quality? Unfortunately, ChatGPT falls short in all four characteristics:

• Experience
• Expertise
• Authority
• Trust

It doesn't have any experience in any topic, struggles to copy the expertise of others, lacks any authority to influence readers, and fails the trust factor by Google's definition.

Although AI content tools are here to stay, Google's quality demands will only increase as they become more capable. There's always a price to pay for taking shortcuts, so be prepared if you're willing to compromise adding your depth and knowledge and expertise or actual E-E-A-T to any AI-generated content.

Warning... You might wake up one morning to find your website pages have vanished from Google SERPS it's simply not a risk worth taking.

specifically the introduction of paid subscription services that offer exclusive features and increased post reach for a monthly fee. Recently, Meta has joined the likes of Twitter and Snapchat in offering such services, which begs the question: is this a positive development for the platform?

One issue to consider is whether people should be able to pay for additional reach without disclosing it as an advertisement.

The value of the blue checkmark, which previously signified the accomplishment of meeting rigorous criteria, may also be called into question as a result. Despite this, both Twitter and Snapchat have already generated millions from their programs, and Meta could follow suit by generating significant new revenue streams.

It is important to examine the key features of each subscription service to gain a better understanding of their respective offerings.

However, it is our personal opinion that these paid subscriptions do devalue the effort put into achieving the blue checkmark and the prestige previously associated with it. This raises a pertinent question regarding the potential impact on a brand's reputation should they choose to cancel their subscription and subsequently lose the verified status.

In conclusion:
while the introduction of paid subscription services on social media platforms has its pros and cons, it is important to weigh the implications carefully before making a decision.
