This is your chance to go beyond transactions and connect on a deeper level.

The fortune is in the follow up, not in beating your subscribers over the head with your offers!

Are you struggling to move leads along your customer journey and get people to transact with you?

If you’ve got a bottleneck in your / and your leads aren’t progressing to the next step, then the chances are they lack clarity about why they should move forwards.

One of the reasons for this can be confusion, or overwhelming messaging.

Often in the pursuit to sell fast, you can overload leads with too much information.

Every time you add a new piece of information that attempts to overcome an objection or limiting belief it can have the opposite affect, and significantly impact your conversion rate.

This is a big problem with thinking that speed is the answer to everything!

In the pursuit of speed, you can forget that logical steps is what leads to sustainable and scalable results.

You don’t have to do it ALL in one go.

The fear of losing a deal, and trying to rush it, will often cause you to lose the deal!!!

Each step in your customer journey should focus on one big thing that you want your leads to believe.

When they believe that one thing, they will progress.

Then move onto the next.

Being logical and having the right steps in the right order doesn’t mean being slow. 🤯

In fact, it’ll probably deliver results faster.

So, if you’re struggling to convert leads online, or your customer journey has a bottleneck in it, take a look at it and ask “what’s the ONE big thing I want people to believe, and am I overwhelming them with more than that?”

Have you ever had an house extension, or refurbished a property?

Do you remember how slow the progress felt at the beginning?

Do you remember how difficult it was to visualise the end result?

Well, building a customer journey and system that will help your expert business to scale is a little similar.

You need to have the right blueprint (strategy) to start. - You wouldn’t build an extension without having solid foundations in place.

Sometimes it’s hard to visualise how your new customer journey will look and feel until it’s built. - It’s like getting the plaster and paint on the walls!

Here’s another correlation between building an extension and building a scalable customer journey for your expert business…..You need to trust the process.

There are things you need to do in a certain, logical order to deliver a quality project.

To create something that you’re happy to show off and invite people to see, means starting the right way. The foundations are solid, the structure is strong, the layout is right, the experience is enjoyable and it’s something that leaves a good impression and positive feeling.

Just because you can’t visualise the end result, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t follow the logical steps and process to get it right.

Do the slow, boring stuff if you want the end result.

Are you thinking about building a sales funnel?

Funnels are a great way to scale and systemise your business.

But be careful, it's easy to over engineer or overcomplicate it.

Start by asking yourself, 'What's the number one thing I need to solve to help scale and grow my business?'

Is it a lack of leads? Are you struggling to capture leads and build a list / pipeline of future customers that can be nurtured?

You need a LEAD FUNNEL. These are a fantastic way to capture the attention that you're creating. We've helped dozens of clients go from a list size of ZERO, to thousands in some cases, using lead funnels.

Is it a lack of sales? Do you have a following, or a list / pipeline of leads but you're not doing a great job of making offers to them?

You need a SALES FUNNEL. If you're building your list but not making offers, somebody else will! Sales funnels are designed to make logical offers, in the right sequence, ensuring that you have a process for monetising the leads that you generate. We've helped so many of our clients to plug this gap and to monetise their lists.

Is it a lack of follow up? The easiest sale you'll ever make is to somebody who has bought from you before. So, are you doing a good job of following?

You need a FOLLOW UP FUNNEL. Follow up funnels are great for picking up a customer or lead, from where they are in the pipeline and ascending them to the next logical step, whether that's another offer, a call, an event and so on. New Year’s resolutions…

Sweeping change OR simple refinement.

Don’t set yourself up to fail in 2024 by thinking you need to make massive changes.

You’re probably doing a lot of things well, and even if you’re aren’t achieving all of the things that you want to, often it’s the small changes and refinements that will deliver the biggest results, fastest.

I’ve made the mistake of trying to make BIG changes and pivots on several occasions.

The result? A sense of overwhelm and then a realisation that it’s going to take a long time to see any tangible gains. This makes it really hard to stick to because the result feels so far away.

So what do I do now?

I ask myself, what one or two things am I doing really well, that if I improved and refined in the new year, would make a big difference to me (personally) or to my business?

I’d recommend doing a mini audit.

Make a note of what’s going well and what’s not going so well.

Then ask yourself, am I better off focussing on what’s going well and can I improve this?

If something isn’t going so well, be honest about whether you have a real desire to improve it? If it’s not going well, why?

Do you need to fix it or refine it?

Do you need to put your new year energy into it?

Or, do you choose to release it and focus on other areas that with small refinement can make a positive difference to you, and those around you?

It’s not for me to tell you what is or isn’t important, but from my experience doing a mini audit and making smaller, quieter changes in your personal life and business will keep that new year energy lasting longer and get you wins faster.

I’ve seen too many examples of people making big declarations about massive change, and then the energy and enthusiasm fizzles out! (Probably done it myself)!

I’m doing my mini-audit next week. I won’t be sharing it! It’s mine, all mine!! 😂

Note: I’m just a husband, dad, business owner sharing my thoughts. Do what you feel is right for you.

Create a more predictable and logical journey for your leads and you’ll be able to grow your business.

Have a randomised series of offers, touch points and disconnected landing pages and you’ll struggle.

The better you design and build your customer journey, and the more INTENTIONAL you are, the more you can influence the outcome and get the results you want.

Adopting sales funnels into your business is a great way to add structure, build your pipeline by offering value, make offers in the right order, and implement a follow up strategy that builds awareness, connection and trust.

I’ve recently audited 3 businesses who are sending cold traffic directly to their websites and wondering why they aren’t getting results.

Sales funnels allow you to better connect with your future customers, based on where they are in their journey.

Rather than sending leads to a website, that’s trying to serve everyone, ask yourself what you could you achieve with a sales funnel system, specifically designed to just sell the next logical step and actually build your pipeline, predictably.

The key to this is consistency.

Stick to it.

Be prepared to invest in generating awareness, attention and traffic so that you have leads flowing through your funnel.

Results flow from your ability to consistently do the work.

If you’re doing the work, building your following, consistently posting (good content) and not getting results, then it’s time to get funneling!

Do you want to have a bigger IMPACT?

What do I mean by impact?

➡️ You know that you could serve and support MORE people to get the results they want.

➡️ You have a product, offer or service that could really help MORE people avoid mistakes and stress that you’ve personally experienced.

➡️ Only sharing your message with a small group of clients or followers is doing a disservice to you and the many MORE people that need to hear what you have to say.

Most Business Owners i speak to, talk about their ‘WHY’.

They’ve listened to Simon Sinek, they’ve listened to their coaches and mentors, they’ve listened to the best podcasts and they are connected to their purpose.

➡️ PRO TIP - You are on a journey. Impact can be measured. You are unlikely to have a global or industry wide impact overnight. Set milestones and define what level of impact you want to have at each point. Create systems to measure the impact and keep moving forwards.

Overwhelm is often caused by thinking we have to have everything figured out or that we need to instantly become the greatest at what we do.

💡You don’t have to be the GREATEST to be considered one of the GREATS.

Here’s the OTHER reason a lot of business owners get stuck with having impact. 🤯

🤔 They don’t understand HOW to do it!

To go from serving the few to serving the many you must have the right marketing, sales, automation and fulfilment systems in place.

Does money flow to where you put your focus? 🤔

I believe it does.

If we focus on multiple things at anyone time, we are significantly diluting the impact we can have in those area’s.

I find great examples of this all the time with online customer journey’s, whether it’s , , , onboarding or fulfilment.

It’s easy to get distracted with operational tasks, meetings, team management, finances and so on, so when you get back to your customer journey you’re so frazzled you can’t give it the energy and attention it needs.

So what do you do? Take a scattergun approach to your marketing!

Throw up a couple of social posts, send a couple of DM’s out, maybe email your list and then move onto something else!!

GET FOCUSSED…

Create a customer journey map that you can consistently refer back to. It doesn’t matter how tired you are or how distracted you’ve been, this map is your blueprint to making more sales.

Give yourself CLARITY about every step (landing page, offer, call to action, automation) in your customer journey.

You don’t need to focus on every step at once, but you’ll have confidence that when you do invest time in it, you’re not taking a randomised approach, but instead being intentional about improving a journey that has been really well thought out and will deliver results faster.

Every great journey starts with a map!

If you want to make more sales online, your customer journey MUST be simple…

No. 1 rule when it comes to mapping out and building your online customer journey is ‘Keep It Simple’.

A confused mind won’t buy.

Don’t give people too many choices or you risk overwhelming them. Create a series of logical steps that allow your message to connect, create desire, add value, overcome limiting beliefs and build trust… When you do that, your customers WILL transact with you.

Be intentional about your customer journey, don’t take a randomised or scattergun approach.

This is a great acronym worth remembering 😉

I was on a client call yesterday reviewing an asset we created as part of her customer journey a couple of months ago, and she is now consistently converting new leads at a rate of 64%. (That's just one of the assets we've created and are testing).
