🌎 This week AVEVA’s Employee Group leaders from around the world and our corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team joined together for a special Summit on Mainstreaming DEI in AVEVA through co-creation.

During the Summit, participants spent time discussing a range of key topics including time with AVEVA Chief People Officer Caoimhe Keogan, Talent Development Team Lynn Johnston on Leadership Expectations and Global Employee Communications Director Madeline Batchelor on effective communications. Gill Cooke from Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion (enei) rounded out the discussions with a session on “What Makes an Effective Employee Group”.

Team building experiences were planned throughout the week, giving participants the opportunity to build deeper connections across.

The week will come to a close with teams creating AVEVA’s Action Plans for 2025 and building out DEI Team Priorities for the year ahead.

Today AVEVA had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished delegation from Brazil in our San Leandro Customer Experience Center, hosted by the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

Our discussions centered on the global and the pivotal role that technology plays in this mission. We shared learnings from AVEVA’s Utility Executive Summit and the accelerating pace of grid transformation including how CONNECT, AVEVA’s industrial ecosystem, is empowering the sector to meet modern challenges and shift towards a coordinated and integrated approach across all data points and applications.

🎓 What an exciting time - AVEVA Scholars concluded their orientation last week!

Over the course of six weeks, AVEVA Scholars formed new connections across their cohort and with AVEVA colleagues and leaders. Together, they gained exposure to design thinking, coding projects, bowling and much, much more! The Scholars even participated in an activity where they taught senior citizens how to use their technology. Six weeks have never passed so quickly!

At the orientation graduation ceremony last week, colleagues from across the company including AVEVA CEO Caspar Herzberg and Chief People Officer Caoimhe Keogan, along with Prairie View A&M University Euletha Goree Wade and Howard University Dr. Ivory Berry, celebrated the Scholars’ many achievements this summer and wished them well for the journey ahead.

Join us in congratulating our AVEVA Scholars. We are so proud of their many achievements in the short time together and we’re already looking forward to next summer, when the Scholars will return to AVEVA for their first internship!

🎓The AVEVA Scholars have entered the building! AVEVA is excited to welcome our student scholars to our Houston office, joining us from Howard University and Prairie View A&M University to kick off our Inaugural AVEVA Scholars Program, aimed at supporting sophomore students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Scholars arrived in town on Sunday. You could feel the excitement as students met each other for the first time over a warm AVEVA welcome.

On Monday, Scholars joined together at AVEVA Houston to kick off their six-week immersive orientation. Connections and curiosity filled the room! Students engaged with each other, AVEVA leaders and colleagues throughout the week as they covered a wide range of topics and hands-on experiences designed to support their educational and professional journey ahead – including networking and time management skills, to name a few.

In celebration of Pride Month at AVEVA, our Pride @ AVEVA Employee Group hosted an inclusive crafting drop-in event across our Cambridge offices.

Employees came together in a fun and creative environment, with a variety of pride-themed crafts, including colouring designs, crocheting pride flag pencil toppers, and a group decoupage of a colourful pride flag to hang in the office.

It brought us closer as a community, provided a platform for creative expression during our hectic working days and left us with a wonderfully eclectic pride flag hanging in the office (spot the unicorn).” – Ash Rahman, Renewals Specialist at AVEVA

The event was topped off with pride-themed snacks, including cakes and popcorn. A portion of the treat sales will go to support Black Pride – an organization that advocates for the Black LGBTQI+ and QTIPOC community.

in Frankfurt recently supported Die ARCHE Kinderstiftung (the Ark) to help with the food bag distribution as part of our initiative.

Once a month, Arche pack groceries for distribution to families in need in Frankfurt-Griesheim. Many families continue to face challenges coping with rising food prices on their own.

Die Arche buys the food from the donations they receive.

Die Arche also provides a place for children to hang out, enjoy free breakfast and lunch, and get support with their homework. They can then take home the food bags that have been prepared.

💐 On the 21st February some of the UK members of the Talent and Reward team met at East Barnewell Community Centre to help with some gardening jobs as part of our initiative.

☔ It was a very wet and windy Wednesday, but the team was determined to go ahead and make a difference for the local residents that rely on the community centre for social interactions, youth groups, and a food bank. The team lopped, pruned, dug and planted throughout the day to transform the centre’s flower beds and shrubbery ready for the spring.

It was a fantastic way to spend a day together as a team, making a real difference to a local community resource. Our thanks to Abbey People volunteer group for helping us to make this possible.
