Oktoberfest!
From 21st September until 6th October we will be celebrating all things German here at The Royal Standard. 2 German lagers available along with Schnapps, Beer Sticks and Pretzels. Also we can look forward to a German Special from our friends at Tzatziki.

NEW LOCAL BEER!! Wharf Brewery Ltd Coggeshall Gold 4%. We tried this beer at the Cambridge Beer Festival and loved it, we hope you love it too!!

We are very pleased to have been awarded Cambridge & District Camra LocAle pub of the year 2024! This award is given to pubs that serve excellent ales from within a 20 mile radius, so it goes without saying that we couldn't have achieved it without all the amazing local breweries around us! Thank you all very much!

New beer on draught! Chouffe Session 4%. This light, easy drinking Belgian Beer has light citrus notes and is very moreish! Chouffe

New Belgian Beer! Duchesse de Bourgogne CHERRY! A blend of 1 and 2 year aged Beer with local sour cherries added during maturation. Lovely sour and sweet notes.

We will be closed Monday 11th - Wednesday 13th for redecorating and some maintenence, sorry for the short notice, see you all on Thursday!! (Our sister/sibling/step pubs Cambridge Blue, Blue Moon, and Kingston Arms are all open though)

Today it’s Mill Road Winter Fair and we’re selling mulled cider, five ciders and a perry in the garden of The Royal Standard on Mill Road.

A week today is Mill Road Winter Fair. All day (noon til closing) Simon’s Cider will have a pop-up bar in the garden of The Royal Standard. We’ll be selling 5 ciders, a perry and our hot mulled cider. Proceeds will go to the Sepsis Trust. Why not drop by and warm your cockles!

Cambridge Blue is looking pretty snazzy!

*BRAND NEW* Buntingford Brewery Standard Procedure 4% made with Royal Hops, this is the beer we were fortunate enough to have a hand in brewing and we are very excited!!

Thanks to Buntingford Brewery for letting us help brew the newest version of single hop Standard Procedure! We had a great time, and maybe even learned something!!

Not long now! The Ossett Brewery Tap Takeover starts tonight at 5pm.

Congratulations to Tzatziki 's Head chef, Alice! Tzatziki is closed tonight but The Royal Standard is still open serving great beverages, and we are happy for people to order in their own food!

We will be closing at the slightly earlier time of 3.30pm on Tuesday 24th October because our amazing Head Chef, Alice, is getting married! 💒

The whole Tzatziki family will be raising a glass and spending the evening together to celebrate.
