Martial Arts Uniting Ladies is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit Taekwondo club for women in Cambridge, UK. We are united, from the first day a student arrives.
We aim to build a diverse community of powerful women, united by a love of training in martial arts. The scarce number of women in martial arts, like in most sport, is absolutely ridiculous. MAUL offers a women-only program for all women to learn and train in traditional martial arts amongst like-minded, inspiring warriors. “I grew up in an orphanage with only boys. I always wanted to learn some type of fighting. But I got married and had kids, so I just never had the time. But when I turned forty, and all the kids were finally grown, I decided to learn Judo. There weren’t many women in the class. A few girls came in, but they never lasted. They’d get married, have children, and eventually drop out. But I kept going. I became a brown belt. I’d spar against men. Sometimes new people would wonder what the old lady was doing there—but they learned soon enough. I only stopped a few months ago. But I’m still strong. Feel my arms. Notice I’m sitting alone right now. I'm not afraid. Everyone knows not to mess with me. They can see in my eyes that I’m not scared. I may be eighty-six but I could lift you off the ground and throw you over my shoulder right now.”

To mark Remembrance Day today, we will be taking a two-minute silence at 11am to reflect and think of those lost who gave up their lives to defend their country.
This includes the 245 WVS volunteers killed by enemy action during the Second World War. 🌹

1st November Onsie matt work with our badass instructor, Wendi Bacon, as well as our awesome senior instructors!
Post Halloween lessons are performed in our very own fluffy onsies.
There is nothing like mauling each on a matt dressed as Rudolf or a panda !

We had pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, tarot and doughnut catch, all hosted by our amazing Instructor Wendi!
Thank you to all our gorgeous kick ass girls for an awesome spread of food and delicious drinks.

Junior and senior belt gradings.
At MAUL we do not pressure anyone to grade. It is completely up to you.
We welcome anyone who would like to join our single taster session for free.
Instructor Wendi Bacon is super supportive, experienced and friendly.
We have several online classes on offer (exclusively for MAUL members), starting
this September term.
You are welcome to come try our online martial arts HIIT and Cardio and Stretch classes.
