Stelling & Upper Hardres scout group
A small village scout group .looking for new members to creat a fun, active team that will enjoy the
Fishing with the scouts on sunday wasn't just about learning the basics of fishing to get a badge . It was about acting like fish when the real ones weren't biting.🙄.. learnings good but fun is so much better. 😁
Well I don't think the sheriff of Nottingham would have been that worried if the scout group was Robin hoods bow makers.
BUT it was fun trying to recreate the medieval weapon.
A few badges gained and plenty of room for improvement for next time🙄🤣🤣.
Watch out for the next event taking place next monday.
Stelling & Upper Hardres Scouts Group is based in Bossingham village , tucked away down Manns hill in the modest Scouts hall.
The group has been running many years and benefits from the long term experience of the local Scouts Leader, Phil cope.
Once a thriving group bursting with young active members, has now like so many organisations been effected by the results of covid restrictions over the last 2 years .
This sadly has resulted in members dispersing, also helpers have fallen along the wayside.
Like a true Scout , Phil has not given up on the local heritage and is persevering to build the group back up to the active fun, friendly exciting organisation it once was.
Looking forward to a future much like the past, Phil is focused on keeping the traditional group activities, with the open mind of expanding on new ideas and adventures..
Phil being a country farmer born and bred on the land refuses to stand back and watch the new generations sit within four walls, and be brainwashed by computer games and technology , when there is so much fresh air to inhale , nature to view, lessons to learn and fun to be had together as a team with new friends.
Scouts isn't just about badges, camp fires and putting on a uniform.
It's about..., respect . Life skills . Adventure. Disapline. Staying focused. New friends. Self challenge. Leadership. Team work and imagination etc etc.
Unlike most traditional large groups , stelling & Upper Hardres scouts listen to the members views and ideas.
Phil understands that the best way to achieve is to be happy and participate in the organisation.
Now is the perfect time to introduce your child to a small village community group and give them the chance to be part of the growth of the group.
Call phil to discuss any details on 07866 020870.
