The Ancient Unknown are a band of inter-dimensional scoundrels whom currently reside in London, Earth.

Through their travels in the ether they have melded together genres of music from different eras into a fusion rock troop that defies easy categorisation. Quickly becoming known for their wild and outlandish stage dynamic, they truly put on a show which burns in the memory.

they are Antz from the Nest Nebula on the keys, Jordan Drivers of planet thundermist on guitar, and Crispin Arune of Cephalopoda on vox and guitar.

Hypnogator

South East London-based band Hypnogator are a striking blend of heavy-rock, psychedelic rock and prog.

Describing their music as a “journey through the Cosmic Swamp” the band offers a sprawling garage-rock-come-psychedelic sound. Formed during the end of lockdown, the band blend their influences from old-school Led Zeppelin-esque riffs to contemporary elements of psychedelia, jazz, and funk. The result is a high energy, expressive and intricate sound that has seen the band covered by Earmilk, New Noise Magazine and Psychedelic Baby Magazine, and establish themselves on London's rock scene playing packed out shows at venues including Camden Assembly and O2 Academy Islington.

As Hypnogator invites fans to join them on a voyage through their psychedelic underworld, they showcase not only their brilliant musicianship but their ability to craft infectious soundscapes that capture the energy and excitement of their live shows in all of their records.

Desire Lines

Alt-Rock band Desire Lines formed in Canterbury in 2022. Taking fuzz fuelled Post Grunge and
infusing it with elements of Post Punk, Doom and Art Rock, they use wide dynamics to swing from
unapologetically big sounds to delicate melodies and poetic lyricism.

In summer 2023, the Canterbury quartet released their debut EP, Everything Is Fine. A melodic
three-track explosion of lo-fi distortion and exhilarating energy, it received strong praise and
multiple plays on BBC Introducing.

We’re Mitchell Lane, a 4 piece alternative rock band from medway. We are inspired by not only the indie rock scene of the 90s, but also elements of shoegaze and even some classic 70s power pop.

Sunshine Pony Finger

S.P.F hail from the Medway Towns and although they do encompass the garage rock spirit of their heritage, their sound is all their own. They’re a five piece that belt out alternative rock, with caustic lyrics and an ethereal synth. They exude youthful passion and have developed a sizeable and loyal following.

’Call of Sirens’ are an exciting female fronted alternative rock 4-piece band from Portsmouth, UK consisting of Emily Marden on vocals, Andy Bawden on guitar, Matt Hance on drums and Josh Lebow on bass.

Music is full of tradition. Whether it’s an inspiring tune or a commitment to write music from the heart, the members of 'Call of Sirens' have embraced these traditions while establishing a few of their own over the years working in a variety of creative projects.
The band’s sound draws from a wide variety of influences, including alternative rock acts like Flyleaf, Skunk Anansie, Paramore, Halestorm and Evanescence.

‘Call of Sirens’ incorporate elements of their collective inspirations, experiences and styles into something unique in sound, engaging in theme and special in aesthetic.

This New Dawn

Formed in late 2018 in Kingston, South London, THIS NEW DAWN promises to create music which elicits excitement just as much as it does feeling. A cohesive mix of driven guitar riffs, fetching lyrics and melodies, this 4-piece evoke emotions of warmth and passion.
Following the release of their debut EP in 2020 they’ve strived to build upon an impassioned following with a SOLD OUT headline performance at The Fighting C***s Bar & Venue in late 2021 and a positively reviewed Live Stream Event in 2022.

Here, there is no better remedy for the terrors of modernity than bizarre ghost stories told in jovial tones. Listen to myths of monsters from behind gothic jazz-infused indie rock, with supercharged piano, silky smooth bass, striking guitar, and stirring beats.

Paper Crowns

Born in Somerset to two teenage boys who had just found their instruments, Paper Crowns had been the supposed pipe dream of lead guitarist Oliver Wood and drummer Daniel Reynolds for almost six years. With the band exchanging different members, sounds, and genres, they settled on classical guitarist turned bassist, Alex Thomas, and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Thomas - bringing the nostalgic sound of the saxophone to the band.

Guendalina is a young singer and performer. At only 19 years old she has a big wealth of experience thanks to her distinct stage presence and to her warm and deep voice. She has performed at iconic venues such as the Moustache Bar and at the award winning and legendary Fiddler’s Elbow Camden.

Karnstein are a Canterbury based Vampyric Black/Doom Metal band. They use classic horror motifs as metaphors for the q***r and trans experience.

Ode to Sleep

East Kent DIY PUNK trio Ode To Sleep play their hearts out with every bead of sweat at their high energy dynamic performances that combine absolutely gargantuan sounding garage/grunge punk drums, apologetically honest ‘Art as Activism’ lyrics, raw distressed bass and wild fuzzy guitar, rich with personality.

The Scene returns to Camden for another night packed with stunning live music. This month, a range of alt rock, alt metal and indie with an acoustic opening.

The Colour Blind Monks are a 4 piece band inspired by the 90s alt rock genre, consisting of Phoebe Rose, Alex Cowell, Joe Tynan and Albert Valentine.

Rogue Awakening

Rogue Awakening are a female fronted hard/alternative rock band from Horsham formed in early 2022. Their sound is essentially heavy but melodic’, with crunchy, thick guitar riffs and soaring, clean vocals. Lead singer Kimberley heads up the band with her breathtaking voice and songwriting talents. Her previous band Damn Dirty Humans received great critical acclaim, touring with the Human League, The Start and Monarchy. The band unites lots of different musical backgrounds and tastes from Indie to Death metal.
Lia Sky

Lia Sky is a Polish pop indie rock performing artist who, you might find hard to believe, is an introvert but makes records in which she talks about herself, and mostly her struggles. She merges the charming innocence and honesty of Phoebe Bridgers and punk of Avril Lavigne. Her upcoming EP, “World of Socializers” explores uncomfortable situations, from feeling lost in crowds to feeling misunderstood in love. Her music aims to provide comfort for anyone who has felt lost, alienated, and unsure of themselves.

Bryte2 are Ellie Bryant, Trev Bryant and Mark Bryant. Formed in 2019 by singer songwriter brothers Trev and Mark when Trev said he had a couple of new tunes, Bryte 2 have developed a unique sound rooted in the songwriting tradition of the 80’s and 90’s and taking influences from genres as diverse as neo soul, moderN R&B, indie pop and contemporary folk music. Recent addition to the lineup Ellie Bryant brings a new dream pop perspective with her unique vocals.

Cream Soda are a garage/punk band hailing from the Medway delta with a tip of the hat to the classic Medway stuff such as the Buff Medways, The Prisoners and the Len Price 3 and many more.

Arkadia

We are arKadia, a metal band hailing from Kent, comprising of Lewis, Jack, Adam and Tommy. Our main influences come from the likes of Alterbridge, Tool, Muse and Avenger sevenfold to name a few!

Biddle

Molly Walford (AKA Biddle) is a 19 year old alternative musician, often performing alongside her band (George Flemwell, Rhys Roberts, Ferghal Hughes). Molly began writing music to manage grief, and has since made the focus of her music to express emotion, talk about important topics, and ultimately, to make people feel less alone in their experiences. The goal of the band is to bring these emotions to life on stage and through tracks, to create expressive music, with a deep rooted message delivered through the lyrics.

Remy

Remy has been writing and performing songs since she was 13, inspired by artists such as Janis Joplin, Christine and the Queens and Kate Nash. Her sets contain a mixture of covers and her own music, with some rock numbers and some gentle ballads.

The Scene presents another night at The Ballroom Canterbury packed with stunning local live music. Alt Rockers The Super Micks headline supported by fellow rockers Queen Horizon and Honey Buzzard as well as talented acoustic acts Luke J Dorman and With Stones In His Pockets. The Super Micks

The SuperMicks are a 5-piece alt rock band from Ramsgate, Kent, formed in 2020. Their music is upbeat bluesy rock with influences from Foo Fighters to the Beatles. The SuperMicks write all their own original music and have just released their 2nd single, We Don’t Need Work, which was produced by Louis Malagodi of the band Collateral. They also are currently recording an EP with him and have an album in the pipeline.Their Live performance delivers heavy guitar riffs, thumping bass lines and energetic drum beats, entertaining audiences left craving for more.

With Stones In His Pockets

With Stones in His Pockets is a singer-songwriter from Canterbury. He writes experimental pop and psych-folk, sad, ironical and emotional songs about alienation and injustice. With Stones' second album, 'Missives' was released 21st February, 2023.

ANOTHER DAY strike head on with their high energy, hook-ridden rock ’n’ roll, fusing the pop melodies of 90’s Britpop, 60’s British Invasion and early Weezer with the instrumental punch and rawness of The Libertines and the 70’s punk movement.

There's a real energy surrounding the boys, and crowds too, as they pack out their monthly self promoted band nights in Camden and Carl Barat’s Justines in Margate.

They’re a young, but a seriously well put together outfit, displaying a maturity of song writing and musicianship well beyond their years and delivered best through their hectic schedule of blistering live shows.

Captivating front man, singer and guitarist Louis, is backed by the bullet proof rhythm section of brother Jonte on bass and Harley on drums, which kicks fourth cousin Charlie‘s scorching lead guitar eagerly to the forefront.

They look sharp, sound great and their belief is palpable... coming at you like the rumble of an approaching storm.
