My first National Gardens scheme of the summer: Godmersham Park. The walled gardens are incredible! Plus beautiful parkland and views of the Kent Downs.

As often as possible, I take the kids for a walk too. This was after Kung Fu. We went to see if there was a glut of dandelion heads to blow away like last year, but sadly the constant rain had flattened most of them! We still had fun though!

Much of Wincheap Water Meadows is flooded after all the rain we’ve had so not surprising to see such lush Water Hemlock Dropwort everywhere. And the one glossy mound of Yellow Marsh Marigold is just stunning, wish there was more!
