Very exciting week ahead! Plenty of new tutees from the UK and further afield - like Qatar - that are starting their lessons throughout the week.

Just wanted to say hi to all the new families joining our page and that we have lots more to come. I cannot wait to meet you all!

This week is a different week filled with many emotions. Sadness that some of our wonderful Happy Owls tutees fly the nest, pride as to how amazing they have been and progressed and then nerves and excitement in equal bundles ahead of their 11+ Tests.

But we know you will all shine! You have worked so hard since you began you Happy Owls Tuition journey and you are some of the most conscientious, hard working, enthusiastic and dedicated children I have ever had the pleasure of working with!

No matter what the outcome, I know 100% that you will do your very best and remember that nerves are good! Butterflies in the belly can help you smash this and use them to your advantage.

Finally, the 11+ is one test on one day. It doesn't tell the examiners and schools how you are incredibly successful sports people in tennis, gymnastics, football or cricket, it doesn't show them how you are a marvel at Lego, it doesn't tell them about your passion for history and science, it doesn't tell them how you love to game and are really good at so many Xbox or Playstation games, it doesn't tell them how you aspire to be a fantastic author as your writing is just unbelievable. In short, it doesn't really tell them much!

But it can mean you have more schools you can look to shine in and it increases your options. Saying that, wherever you go to school you will succeed and you will show the school how lucky they are to have you!

So go do your absolute best, stay calm, stay focused and remember every question is just worth one point. So if you find one tricky, have an educated guess and move on. Then come back to it at the end and spend the time you have left on it. You can ALL do this! You have shown it week in, week out.

The very best of luck to each and every one of you. We will have our fingers and toes crossed and then after the exam - chill and relax! You deserve it!

As our summer courses 🌞 come to a close, we are delighted to be offering our most extensive Group Tuition timetable ever! 🥰

‼ 11+ Kent Test Mock Exam for current Year 5 children ‼

On Friday 26th July we will be holding a full Kent Test mock exam where children will sit the English, Maths and Reasoning papers as well as a short writing task.

Places will be limited as this is in person - although depending on demand a second session on a different date may arise.

If you want to kick start your 11+ preparations, or want to have that final push before September, then we have three separate groups for both English and Verbal Reasoning, or Maths and Non Verbal Reasoning to pick from.

We have created additional groups so you can select the best time each week that works for you. We also know it is the holidays so if you are away you can get the lesson recording and all lesson materials sent to you to work through in your own time too!

Day 1 of our online GCSE maths exam paper walk throughs has been a huge success, with over 30 students attending, across the foundation and higher groups! We're looking forward to day 2 today. Due to the huge demand, we are offering additional exam prep sessions from now, right up to the exams. Get in touch if you would like to sign up, or for more information 🙂

A great set of verbal reasoning courses yesterday! Wonderful to meet new tutees and work with our current tutees. So much encouragement, positivity and growing of confidence!

We had some lovely lightbulb moments and always good to hear the 'oh I get this now!'

Things to look out for this Easter:
- Our Verbal Reasoning 'crash courses' on Tuesday 2nd April. Find out how to solve different areas of Verbal Reasoning that come up in the 11+. Very limited spaces remain for these online courses.

- Our 1:1 lessons are still running over Easter - daytime and evening sessions.

- Our popular Year 4 and 5 11+ groups and our Year 3-6 Maths and English groups return from the 8th April onwards.

- Our Year 10 and 11 Maths GCSE groups - limited availability.
