To start your new year off on a positive and prosperous note, here are some do’s and do for over the next few days.
• Do wear the colour red today, or anything red like jewellery socks or pants, paint your nails red it will attract good luck for the year ahead
• No Housework no washing floors or clothing, it washes away the good luck that came into your home at midnight.
• Don’t wash your hair as it washes away the good luck that you had at midnight.
•Don’t make purchases for the first few days as it’s bad luck for the year ahead financially.
•Don’t be negative about 2022, don’t wish it away don’t talk about it or the bad sad negative things that have happened, all you will do is carry it into 2023.
•Do start your New Year with a wish list, write down 12 wishes/dreams/ ambitions you would like to achieve, place them something red and place them in a drawer or cupboard in the Northwest Corner of your home.

One of the most important rooms is your bedroom and your room, I love white bedding as in this image I always seen it as clean fresh and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but did you know it can attract Illness in my case a Brain Tumour, it causes financial problems in marriages and it is also associated with Death- dead bodies are draped in white sheets. Not the energy I wanted in my bedroom recovering from Cancer.

12 months on my bedroom has a beige duvet, I am also Cancer Free. I do believe small changes like this brought the right Chi into our home.

I absolutely love White but colours play a huge part in your life so use them carefully!

Our yearly trip to do Strawberry 🍓 Picking today, the Weather was fabulous, as always the best Strawberries in Kent.

A big project was on this week… to organise my sons toys the worst job in the world when your trying to declutter and throw things away and he is keeping everything 🤦‍♀️

With the help of some labelling of baskets so we could organise the toys and these brilliant units from his playroom is now organised.

Now to teach him to put one thing away before we take out the next basket of toys 🧸

A little bit of time out of the UK was needed, so we have travelled through France Germany stopped off in Zurich then onto Tuscany for a week, next stop Geneva. Marshall 5 Adventures

I’ve had two very tough rounds of Chemotherapy that have left me so fatigued with no energy to get on with jobs on the house.

Only saving Grace my amazing garden which has been giving me a place to reflect, meditate and appreciate life.

Woke up to my Apple tree blooming this morning!!!

In my own home and I will share a picture (once it’s IG ready) I’ve got a built in bookshelf and it’s in my Kitchen area, I’ve used it as an area to display pictures of our family, ornaments to represent things so we have a car on there as this year Feéna needs a car she is learning to drive, we have a bronze dog as Neve wants a dog. I’ve put books on being Cancer Free, photographs of us as a family, the list is endless.

Use the SouthEast to improve your well-being as well as an area to look at and think look how far we have come as a Family.

A Bagua Map is a great way to help get balance in your home if you can’t afford a consultant.

You place it over a floor plan of your house, placing the Career at your front door. You then can see on the Bagua Map the areas, what they represent and the colours and elements to help improve.

If your career is stagnant or you can’t get a job that you want, use black and the element of water- so a water feature.

Anyone can change their luck and attract good energy by learning to place the correct colours and accessories in a room.

I was so thrilled to have Alan Stirling Feng Shui Master, train me on a 1:1 Day a few weeks ago.

Alan delivered the most amazing training, and brought me up to speed on areas in my life that were attracting negative energy.

Welcome 2022!

One of the best things to start the year off is Spruce up your Front Door and Entrance area. Encourage good energy to your home.

Give your a door a good clean down get rid of any cobwebs, dust, clean the glass and fix anything that is loose or broken.

Get a doorbell and when it Chimes it will get rid of any Negative Energy gravitating towards your home ready to enter when you open your door.

I love a Wreath on my door all year round, all I do is change up my Planters.

One Tradition we do every year as a Family, is write ourselves a Letter that we read on New Years Eve!

So we start by Thanking 2022 for, and then all the wonderful things that are going to happen that year.

The Children are always astonished on New Years Eve when we read the Letters and how much they have accomplished.

It’s a bit like a Jar, but I prefer the Letters as we pack them away with the decorations so no one peeks.

My last Christmas Decor post of 2021, as they will all be coming down on the 6th January-it’s the old superstitious Catholic in me not to take them down until the 12th day after Christmas.

I’ve also been incredibly fatigued from my Chemotherapy this Christmas, it’s a miracle the decor went up outside at all outside. I’m not good at taking pictures at night time and twinkling lights/ new skill to learn in 2022.

Also a massive big thank you to Lesley, my go to Florist for making these bows every year and coming out to the house to hang them for me.

I will be incredibly sad to see them come down this year but I’m looking forward to a fresh start in 2022.

I am a Brain Tumour Survivor, I am still currently battling Grade 3 Cancer so you can follow that story there if you’d like to learn more about my story.

I had my Brain Tumour removed in July 2021, and I’m not saying our home was making me unwell but I felt things were off, Dave and I have moved 9 times in 20 years, we have flipped, sold, renovated we still manage a small property business, but I have always applied principals of Feng Shui.

Cancer diagnosis is a terrible shock to anyone, but I think it made me want to change for the better and I thought I’m going to start with my home so I contacted Alan Stirling @ Feng Shui that Works in Kent, one of the best Feng Shui experts to come into our home and help me make colour and design decisions that were beneficial in my recovery, but also for our long term learning, wealth, health, luck and prosperity.
