living with bipolar
learning to live with bipolar and manic depression since a very young age
Hope you're all doing ok. I've had a really high day today. And have medication to level me out. But sometimes when your having a mania you tend to try and enjoy it because you get so much done and you're in such a hypo mood. So sometimes I struggle to know what's the best thing to do.
I have never been great about talking about this or being so open. But here goes. In the past I have felt very embarrassed and I have kept it to myself for 30 years. When mental health wasnt even a thing. Apparently.) saying that sounds so strange to me thinking that its even been that long. when I got diagnosed with having bipolar. anxiety disorder and severe depression i kept it to only my family. And tried to live a normal life. Well saying normal what even is normal these days lol. After seeing 13 councillors from the age of 13 and two psychologists which are amazing by the way would definitely recommend that. After different trials of medications some what for a little while some woeked for a few years. until we found the ones that have helped me for at least 10years has helped don't get me wrong sometimes I still go up sometimes I still come down but my mood stabilisers really do help with that. I also have other pills that help I do know some of you will not agree with taking medication and I've had people in the past telling me just have a joint and chill out lol if it was only that easy I tried to explain to people if you look at it like a bridge in your brain you have two pillars and there's a bridge that meets at both ends for some people's bridge has got a crack in the middle believe me we don't want that crack to be there I certainly don't but some of the medication that I take kind of puts the scaffolding up and the cars go over not falling down the crack lol god never explain it like that before. There will be a lot of people who will have different views on how I have explained some of this but please try and understand how hard this has been for me to even open up just a little bit and explain. I suppose the reason for this page is not only for me to open up but for anyone who has thought they can't talk to their friends and be open ❤️❤️❤️
