Good evening.
It has come to our attention that there is a rumor going around the village. Apparently we are leaving and closing the pub down.🤷🏻♂️ 🤷🏻♂️
First of all, we are here to stay and have no plans on closing down or leaving the village.
We are spending a substantial amount of money getting the pub up to the standard it needs to be.
We are also getting the gardens up to scratch ready for the summer.
So to sum it up, we are not leaving and the rumour is just that. A rumour. We would appreciate it if a certain person would stop spreading it.
(Oh and there’s a spaceship up the top of Cullins Hill in the field) that’s how rumours start. 😂

Look out for…
Sunday 9th June is fast approaching and the Elham Farmers’ Market is delighted to give you a preview of some of the delights you will find on the day. The Elham Food & Craft Festival is happening in Elham Square and Church, from 11am to 2pm.
• Jackdaw And Bear design and create cards, stationery, gifts and art prints using traditional relief printing techniques, mostly using the linocut print process.
• Tenterden Greens is an exciting new micro farm in Kent bringing you the freshest locally-grown micro greens harvested and delivered the same day, grown from organic seeds. The greens might be little but pack a real punch with up to four times the goodness, perfect to add colour and flavour to your salads.
• The Fifth Trust is a Kent-based charity that has been supporting adults with learning disabilities for over 30 years. Their plant stall is not to be missed.
• Weird and Gilly is where you’ll find beautiful hand-made lampshades made in Rochester by Janine Frost & Nicola Gillham.
• Hearts Deco, always a popular stall in the church, packed full of great gift ideas at reasonable prices. Here you will find everything from jewellery to handbags, cufflinks and childrens' toys.
• Archie Archer offers greeting cards using sea glass found on the beaches in Kent.
• Deborah Woodward’s colourful unique greetings cards are individual and gorgeous.
• Bijou Rebooted is another interesting concept: elegant and colourful one-off necklaces made from unwanted or broken jewellery.
• Kate Bishop is a photographer based in Kent specialising in pets, wildlife and zoo animals.
• Louise Hummerstone has been making pots for over 30 years, trying many techniques and mediums. She works from her garden shed using stoneware clay, then fires her pots to 1300C in a reduction atmosphere!
• Kent Wildlife Trust will showcase how they work to protect wildlife across the country.
• Romney Marsh Wools is a family business who have farmed sheep for over 130 years on the Romney Marsh.
• Chris Alexander is the stall to visit for beautiful silver jewellery.
• A Little more Joy believe in providing thoughtful, fun, vibrant and exciting gifts to spread a little more joy while at the same time as supporting UK businesses that have environmental and social values at their core. They work with suppliers that are committed to sustainability and use consciously-sourced ingredients. They have teamed up with Ecologi so for every gift box purchased one tree is planted.
And that just for starters, as to date we have 43 stalls booked to attend, including your favourite bread, cheese, meat, cured meats, chutneys and more!
See you all on 9 June, and remember to make time to visit Elham’s Open Gardens after the market.
