Wow! Double Rainbow over our greenhouse and kitchen garden at Sianie’s Kitchen

Photos from Sianie's Kitchen's post 05/04/2024

Sianie’s Kitchen is currently having our 18th Century Barn rethatched !
Our barn was originally the work shop of Mr Gordon Medgett who was the last Wheelwright of Adisham Village. It was converted several years before we moved & now serves as the home for our small business whilst we live in the thatched cottage next door which bears the Medgett name.
We’re currently closed to customers whilst this work is carried out, but are still open for beautiful fresh free range eggs from our girls, who by the way I’m surprised have not morphed into ducks with all this rain!

Photos from Sianie's Kitchen's post 17/03/2024

Finally got around to some seed sowing in the Greenhouse.
We just use a small heated bench to start our tender seeds, saves heating the entire building!
We’ve started very late this year as it’s been so cold in there at night, our thermometer is reading - 6 dg c but as it’s perked up over the last few days I’ve decided to risk it!
Lots of spring leaves, legumes & micro greens for our up coming Dining event and Sweet Peas for Dan’s bees & cut flowers

We went to Whistable Foodies Market on Saturday to check out some new suppliers for our Afternoon Teas, Ploughman’s & Seasonal Dining Events.

This year, I really want to focus on supporting local producers for anything we can’t grow or make ourselves.

We purchased 2 different varieties of smoked salmon, one Beech smoked & one Alder smoked from www.thenativesmokehouse.com

Absolutely delicious, beautifully sliced & presented. Will definitely be on the menu as one of our finger sandwich fillings !
