Your chance to run is coming soon! CLS will be holding annual elections in the near future for the following positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Social Minister, and Academic Minister.
 
Once Kent Union has given societies their election dates we will announce when you can put forward your nominations! For now, check out the doc that went out in the last email and start working on a manifesto in relation to the position that you would like to run for.

Alumna Meet & Greet

Mooting and Negotiation Competition

The mooting and negotiation teams are set and have been given their scenarios.  These participants are competing for a guaranteed interview for a legal internship in Canada (working remotely); and, of the participants, a pair will be selected to represent the University of Kent in the MacKay cup.
 
CLS Annual Maple Ball

Join us in closing out alumni week and beginning the 2022 reading week with the CLS Maple Ball!  This event is CLS’s annual social event and will be hosted in the private guard room at One Pound lane. Dress to impress and bring a friend. Half of the tickets are sold! Secure your spot asap :)

The CLS Moot and Negotiation competition will be taking place during alumni week. If you are looking for an opportunity to participle in a formal Moot and/or Negotiation scenario this is a great place to start.

Winners can secure themselves an interview at Canadian law firm for a REMOTE position and One pair will be selected to represent the University in the MacKay Cup

CLS is supporting in their efforts to collect donations for the Canterbury Food Bank. We will be collecting donations of non perishable items until December 15th. Please DM us if you have anything to donate!

The National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) team is hosting an info session for all international law school students. For everyone Interested in becoming certified and practicing in Canada this will be a great session to learn about the process and what is required of you to successfully complete the process. The Canterbury Housing Advice Centre is celebrating its 30th year of preventing with their annual charity bike ride! It will be a 30 mile bike ride at a casual pace going from the University of Kent to Margate! For more information see the link in our bio. Join the bike ride or donate to support the cause!

Welcome week is only a few days away! Come meet the CLS committee on September 23rd as we hang out at the University of Kent’s Welcome Fair! Hosted on Kent campus, we will be by the Eliot car park and the library. Come say hi and hang out!
