Cliftonville Farmers' Market

Well, you never cease to amaze me.

Although the market does not officially open until
10 a.m, by 9.45 a.m it was heaving, with some stallholders yet to arrive.

Where you all came from, I do not know!

The CRA stall had sold 40 dozen eggs by 10.50 a.m

Beardy's Lemonade 'sold out by 11.30 a.m

The Native Smokehouse also 'sold out' as did Made from Plants.

All stallholders had a great trading day.

It was lovely, to once again see the community of all ages, shopping at the market.

We were four stalls down through their other comittments this month, but they will be back in January.

When I look back to two years ago, when we were on our previous site, we usually had 18 to 20 stalls.

Since moving to the Walpole Bay site, it has more than doubled.

I know I am biased, but I have never been to another market with such a large selection of different produce from Celtic salt to vegan and then all the produce that one expects to buy at a good market.

You are truly spoilt for choice.

Thank you to the vast range of great producers, the men who prepare the site each month, Hazel for selling the eggs & honey, Daran for his support on social media and to all our wonderful shoppers, we wish you a healthy and happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in January, when we have another new stallholder joining us.

Jenka can make Gluten-free & dairy-free options. She will also cater for events and can be found at both our markets. You can sometimes find handmade Russian dolls on her stall.
