Selling mushroom grow boxes is one of the weirdest experiences. Some of the people that you have gifted these boxes to have phoned me up and had a conversation about mushrooms, which i dont mind because I love talking about fungus but it’s just really lovely to get a stranger phoning you to thank you and talk about the gift that one of you has given to them.

FEEDBACK FORUM. Yes I’m ready for it, this is your chance to tell me where I’ve been going wrong or right with these first few grow kits.

I realised halfway through the instructions were clear enough and some people open the boxes. This is where I added an instructional picture pamphlet. Also I had some reports that the perforated window wasn’t easy to open and so I added extra perforation to it.

I hope the customer service was okay and mainly I really hope you enjoy growing and eating these mushrooms

I am ready to take orders again. I only have greys atm but will be increasing my range over time. I am thinking of having a quarterly subscription where people subscribe for a year and get a different Grow box every quarter. So for example I was thinking yellow, pink,pearl and then a grey oyster grow box. I think it would be a wonderful present for someone who is crazy about mushrooms. 

Using spent mycelium to continue growing more oyster mushrooms.
1)Take your tired old mycelium out of the bag and place it on the side
2) get-a 2-3 litre pot
3) find some non printed cardboard
4) grab your 1/4 inch drill bit And drill two holes opposite each other middle on the sides
5) be ready with your gaffer/parcel tape

6) beak a handful of mycelium off and sprinkle it on the bottom of the tub
7) rip up cardboard and soak for a minute, then add to the tub when drained
8) if at this point you think that mycelium is too dry give it a spray
9) take your first portion of spent coffee from your morning drink and add it to the top
10) until it leaps onto the coffee add your spent coffee grounds slowly.
11) if it looks too wet add some more dry cardboard
12) If you see specs of mould in it just pick them out and then mycelium will take over
13) Once you have filled to the top and everything is white remove the tape and spray daily like you did with the grow box
14) As you get good at this you could have two grow tubs at once so that the mycelium can eat the coffee grounds quickly when you had coffee to each every other day
15) mycelium can be kept alive for years doing this and you will get a fair amount of mushrooms from it
