The installed vertical flue from our combi conversion job

This combi conversion required a 4-hour rip out and preperation on our first day. We then came back the next day to fit the new boiler along with a vertical flue and hit chemical flush.

This old boiler had seen better days so we removed it and fitted a Viessman Vitodens in its place.

The filing loop had been left on in this Worcester which ruptured the expansion vessel and popped the PRV so we supplied and fitted a new one.

On the same job as the bath replacement we also applied new caulk and silicone everywhere so the customer is now ready to decorate!

The customer wanted a new bath fitted as the enamel on the old one had become discoloured and damaged. So we removed the old one, as well as some small cut tiles before supplying and fitting the new bath.

The previous plumber had left an open boss on the soil pipe so we found the right fitting and managed to seal it off despite the awkward position.

Today we removed an old imperial radiator and replaced it with a new, modern one. When removing the old radiator we found the valves had been over-tightened which can cut into the pipe and cause a leak over time. We used olive cutters to remove the old bits and olive but we cut the pipe back as well before applying a jointing compound to ensure a good seal that will last.

Another issue we found with the boiler replacement job was that the previous engineer had cut into the RSJ and that's why the flue was not sitting at a correct angle.

Following up from Friday's post, the insurance companied deemed the state of the boiler beyond economical repair so we took out the old boilder and installed a brand new Ideal Logic Max 24kw with a 10 year warranty.

Making sure you hire the right people for the job is a must in this industry as mistakes can be highly dangerous. We were called to this job because of a problem with the plate heat exchanger but found it with so many issues we had no choice but to immediately shut it off with a warning notice due to the potential danger.

Today we moved this soil pipe back into the wall so that the client has room for a larder unit with an oven.

With the weather taking a turn for the colder this week, there's no better time to double check those radiators. Bleeding a radiator can reduce the time it takes to get the house warm as well as saving on energy costs!

A customer drilled through a pipe whilst installing a doorbar so we excavated the area, fixed the pipe with a coupling and then boxed it in to protect it and allow for ease-of-access in case of future reapirs.

What a lovely review Tim and Michelle left us. It took some perserverance and determination but we discovered the cause of their leak and we're happy we could resolve the issue for them!

This garage renovation required the gas meter to be moved so we came in the morning to cut out and cap the pipe. We returned in the evening, once the meter had been moved, to run the new connection.
