Its been a busy few weeks at Igloo HQ…with Sarah Thompson & Hazel Thomas

We have been doing 3 projects simultaneously, whilst also juggling Easter breaks and life.

There have been some steep learnings when taking more on, especially when we have our other businesses to tend to aswell. But its turned out great... We have created new working relationships and friends and family (Sarah's family have been epic) have helped. Super team effort!!

And... We are delighted to announce our latest property is now live and we welcomed our first guests last weekend who gave us some great feedback.

We always have a theme for our properties and this one was the ‘artists house’ so we had bright pops of colour in mind. We took some risks on this one and I must admit was a little bit scared during the decoratrion that we had made a mistake. And we certainly gave the builders a laugh with the yellow paint!

However, seeing it finished I'm really pleased. We feel it is different from the everyday listings and we feel it stands out as something unique. When it comes to design our desire it to give guests an experience and a nice feeling. I think creating spaces that have 'a heart' is so findamental to this.

Our other 2 properties in Penarth are well underway and will be ready and live by mid May so that means we are now on the lookout for our next projects and would be grateful if you could put us in touch with anyone who comes to mind for any of the following...

1. A small block of apartments to rent. Something with 3-4 flats, possibly a large converted house in either Newport of Cardiff. Property must be empty when we take it on. Could be existing owner or a developer.

2. A small guest house/hotel to rent/lease long term. Something with approx. 7-12 rooms and seperate owners acoomodation in Newport/Cardiff.

3. HMO property - think old student lets that are not renting, or someone who has had enough of managing it.. We would like to offer a full guaranteed management for 3-5 years. Cardiff/Newport.

I would be most welcome for introductions to the right people.

It was a tough day for Wayne yesterday - he was forced to endure several hours of building flat pack furniture at our new flat in the Mumbles (going live soon!!). We're pleased to report though that he has survived the arduous experience although Hazel maintains she still has earache from all his complaints! 🤣

Here are some before and after shot of a property we took from derelict into a georgeous 1 bedroom property for AirBnB.

This one took a while to get over the line but we are delighted with the end result.

This is the 3rd Property we have done with this landlord and he is currently in the process of buying us 2 flats which we will rent from him for 5 years.

We managed the refurb and design on the landlords behalf, then we give him a guaranteed rent for 5 years, no maintenace, no hassle, and no voids.

Total win/win.

We are currenlty looking to expand the business and we are looking to build a few long term relationships.

Aaaah lush day today! Was one of my favourite days in my monthly calendar: the Igloo property workshop. 😍

We get to spend 6-hours with our coach Alexlouise Thomas working on our goals for financial freedom both individually and together.

And yes, she the food is ALWAYS incredible - but that's not the only reason I love it!😂 Alex challenges us, pushes us and supports us to become who we need to become to stay on track and achieve financial freedom.

It's a day totally packed with amazing food for the brain, soul... and stomach! It leaves us energised, motivated and focussed to move forward.

Have you got someone what feeds your soul, challenges you and pushes you to be the best you can be? I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This is how we roll... instead of relaxing with a glass of wine last night, I spent the evening doing a bit of late night car packing last night with all the soft furnishings for a new flat we're dressing in Newport today. Very glad I've got a huge car and hubby is delighted to get our lounge back from the boxes!! 😂😂
