My son Brandon Cooper wanted an image of his lovely girlfriend and their dog.
So I lasered this one for them, which came out very nice indeed, with great detail and likeness.

A laser burn image I made for my daughter
The symbolism of the bull has huge meaning to us both, and has helped us overcome many problems that we've faced.
This is one of over 1300 digital 3d illusion images that are available for laser burning to many items or objects. These are all copyright images and only available from just a few people like myself who have invested into the franchise. More will be added as time goes by, but I'm sure there maybe something of interest to everyone.
The images vary from all sorts, dogs, cats, birds, many animals, flowers, people, vehicles, the list just goes on an too many to print all.

As mentioned previously, we plan on fulfilling all request of laser work, as we progress into this everending topic and craft.

Finished this yesterday, I don't think you need to be religious to admire the meaning and beauty of a crucifix. Its a reminder if many things and sacrifices people make or have made, but also a reminder that ALL lives matter, regardless of colour or religion, and the fact maybe we should appreciate that just a little bit more.
These are available in different colours to suit personal preference. And would be fitting in any placement in the home, pm me for details, thanks.

Had a customer request for some small samples to put in their store, so I thought I'd share one or two and some other ideas I'm playing with.
The 3d illusion german shepherd looks great in the flesh, a must for any lover of the breed, we also have other breeds available, the bull terrier keyring,l/car mirror disc is going well, it has various designs of added options. The small cutting board is ideal for bushcraft, camping, caravaning, or any occasion when space is important when packing your gear, also comes in a larger size and the options for text or images is endless, let your mind do the work, the choice is literally yours, single sided or double sided options are available, but a must for any cooking get together.
We have crucifixes, memorial plaques,cheese boards, servers, platters, plaques,, coasters, signs,keyrings, pet portraits, childten and adult portraits, etc, the list goes on and basically anything can be made, engraved/lasered. Most items can be custom made or designed, if there's anything you require or ideas you'd like to talk over, just drop me a message. Many items can be done at short notice, but obviously some take a while to make due to the process of certain factors and availability. Mandala multi layered items are preorder and have to be discussed due to the amount of time they take.
The world of engraving is endless and I'll post more projects up as they are completed, to show what is possible, as I get surprised more and more each day to what can be achieved.

Hi everyone, I've not been on much for a while and not been upto making much either due to personal matters.
However I'm putting this bowl up for sale if anyone is interested, unfortunately I overlooked advertising it before, but did have plans to put it on display at a craft venue, along with others available, but as prementioned I didn't get around to it.
It's a beautiful bowl with mixed grains and natural burr, it's a one off piece and has a good weight and size to it.
It was hard work working this natural piece but I enjoyed the hours it took as I do with all my pieces,.

Things have been a bit slow at the moment with one thing and another, but, here's the latest piece I've made that's up for sale. This has to be the best,prettiest, yet hardest piece of Ash I've had the pleasure of turning. It was a task for sure and really put me to the test.
But All that said, I enjoyed every minute of working with it.
I bought this blind as you'd say as it was sealed in white protective sealer, and I couldn't see what it looked like, but I paid the silly price being charges and took the gamble, and it came up trumps for sure.
It has so much going on with different textures, inclusions, bur and natural markings and flaws, a truly beautiful piece. I doubt I'll ever have the privilege to purchase again.
I've named it The Phoenix Bowl, I'm sure you'll see why inside.

Well in most things in life we have to start at the bottom, so here's a few pics of the bottom of a natural edge crotch piece I've started.
It's coated in oils to revive it and to minimise cracking and movement when I hollow it later today. Just to give you an idea of what is involved after processing.
This piece is going to be beautiful with all its natural colours, inclusions etc.
No reason to take away that beauty, so I'm not.

A massive thank you to Liz for asking me to join her craft shop, to display some of the work that I do, I'm both proud and honoured of this, as her shop is a great establishment and an achievement of the very hard work that she has and continues to put in on a daily basis.

Finished this evening, a beautiful piece made from lignum vitae. A magnificent species of wood that is near indestructible. Mother nature's work at its best when she made these amazing trees, it's in the top 10 of most expensive, also for its strength and medicinal factors. The tree of life.
This piece is £45.00 genuine enquiries only. It's a one off piece, so it's 1st come 1st served.
Please be aware that the wood used for this piece is approximately 200 years old, it has natural defects, which have no effect to its value or structure. Its what aging does and adds to its unique character. A bit like wrinkles on our faces as we age.

This wood is one of the hardest if not the hardest I've ever turned. It's in the top 10 most expensive wood species in the world. The piece shown is about 200 years old atleast.
The grain reminds me of the tigers eye, semi precious stone used in signet rings, but what are your thoughts?
I don't think this piece will be available for long, as I think it will be snapped up quickly and rightfully so, it's beautiful. If it doesn't I'm sure I can find a place for it at home somewhere 🤔 thanks for looking, and don't forget to check back for this as a finished piece, and others available or being made.

A few new friends came to help de bark some timber today, not everyone's choice of company but I welcome all wildlife, the good, the bad and the ugly, always in my garden/yard.

Here's a little insight of what's involved in processing wood for preparation, before it's a finished bowl. As you see it in the lathe, this bowl is yet to be dried. I'm trying a new technique that will either work well or drastically go wrong. This beautiful piece of olive ash is going to be one of my all time favourites, once its done, its showing some fantastic markings, even when wet and just roughed out.
A truly treasurable piece in the making.
It's started off as a lonely log before it came to me. Now it'll be a cherished piece in someone's home.
1st cut into pieces, I then decided to de bark as it wasn't very secure and soaking wet. Then it was marked out to suitable sized circles ( well sort of round 😆) then I turned it into a roughed out wet bowl, ready for drying and finishing, which will be done quite soon hopefully, as I'm intrigued to see what the finished piece will look like with all that figuring it has.
Processing each piece is a time consuming effort, that sometimes is overlooked by many and not appreciated in what goes into things. Many hours are put into each piece to give a final product. Unless you purchase ready to turn bowl blanks to which we never know it's history.
This is from a local tree that was a neighbours memorial to his late mother. I hope to do her proud with each piece I make from the once loved tree..
This is the smaller of the 3 blanks I cut and prepared today, the bowl at the moment is 11 x 4.5 inches. So hopefully no mistakes and it will be approx 10 x 4 inches when complete.

This baby piece is about 5x2 inches, made from local Ash, from a tree that was 40+ years old and originally planted as a memorial to a neighbours late mother. Sadly due to unforseen circumstances, it had to be felled and fortunately I was able to have a few pieces, this being a smaller piece of them. I feel if things can be recycled and put to reuse then so it shall.
Not the biggest piece in the world but still holds the beauty of this species.
Ideal as a coin/key dish or for small sweets to greet visitors or guests.

All finished, and off to it's new owner, I really enjoy pieces like this as you never know what the end result will be, or who appreciates the effect from leaving things natural.
Don't try and eat your soups or cereals from it though. 😆

The lady who changed many things in life for me, meet Gloria, she is a vintage lathe made by coronet, she maybe old but she's a work horse and a pleasure to own and use, to make many memorable pieces. She is the reason I do what I do. She is now enjoying a well earned rest, and stored away for the time being. A machine I will never part with, but she'll be back sometime soon to make some very special pieces., and also for teaching the next woodturners in my family.
