Somehow it is a week already since Themba Mvula and Paul McKenzie gave this fabulous recital at Warwick Arts Centre. Great to hear songs by Mokale Koapeng and extracts from our opera performed brilliantly. Also lovely to meet the enthusiastic and engaged audience afterwards.

A key part of our performances are the post show panels, where audiences are able to take part in a discussion, lead by Tony Hendrickson, about their response to the show with the Composer - Rob Fokkens, Director - Benjamin Davis, and Star - Themba Mvula. In Cardiff we have the pleasure of welcoming our librettist Mkhululi Mabija to join the post show panel for the first time!

It was a real pleasure to have our two showings of the Bhekizizwe film, coinciding with !
It was a particular pleasure to welcome Themba Mvula, the star of the opera, to a discussion in Cardiff. The conversation revolved around the themes of Bhekizizwe including racism, immigration, diversity, and Thembas personal experiences as a black man in the world of opera.
