Autumn is most definitely upon us, which can only mean one thing right?
Whisky time!!!
Two very recent additions to our range from the The Glenturret distillery located in the old market town of Crieff.
Their 12yo 2021 release has notes of dried fruit and spices from European oak which marry together with elements of vanilla and caramel from the American oak casks used to create this rich wonderful malt.
2021 Triple Wood which combines cask influences from ex-bourbon barrels as well as Sherry seasoned casks made from both European and American oak. A delicate whisky that highlights the sweet and distinctive fruity style of their new make spirit.
Pop by and grab yourself a bottle to pour a dram and contemplate the cosmos….

Sometimes you just can’t resist…
We carry a huge (unnecessarily so) range of naughty stouts…
When the opportunity came up to stock some barrel aged stouts that are collaborations with the likes of Angry Chair ,Side Project, Equilibrium we had to say yes.
The two bottled stout have each spent three years slumbering and marinating in bourbon barrels and show a depth and complexity only time can deliver.
Get them while you can….

We travelled up last year for a debaucherous day of brewing, food and drinking.

BA Golden Sour with Worcesterberries
🔥WEBSTORE EXCLUSIVE🔥
The third and final release available exclusively from our webstore from this Friday.
This golden sour beer was fermented with a mixed culture in stainless for 6 months, before being racked into a single red wine barrel on top of whole Worcesterberries (200g/l). The Worcesterberries were sources from Pittormie Fruit Farm in Cupar, located seven miles from the brewery. Worcesterberries share similar characteristics to gooseberries and blackcurrants, though are thought to be a separate species.
This beer was brewed with Dan and Nat from , to commemorate their 10th anniversary.

Amores Mezcal Verde Momento
“Every batch of Verde Momento features a unique label designed by a contemporary Mexican artist. It is another collaboration aimed at supporting the local culture of the mezcal-producing regions – be it farmers, distillers or artists.
Verde is made from organically grown, 8-year-old Espadín agave. It is cooked using three different types of wood - ocote, red oak and pepper tree - to achieve a complex, balanced flavour profile that makes it work brilliantly in cocktails.”

Distilled in Nairobi Kenya at an insane altitude of 1638 metres above sea level. It boasts ten different botanicals sourced from all corners of Africa. With Juniper at the forefront this gin, it accessible to all levels of gin lovers.

Now for grapes in a different format to our usual broadcast……
We have landed our annual allocation of Tilquin grape lambics. The collection includes their new collaborative beer with L’Ermitage which is a blend of saison, 1,2, and 3 year old lambic refermented on 170g of forest fruits mix per litre.
The range also features the two new grape varietals of Sureau (Syrah) and Pinot Meunièr (the third grape of champagne production).
Quantities are limited across the shops as we have squirrelled some away into vast cellar of treats for future days to come….

Check out this beautiful trio from Antonio Camillo, the 1L “Tutti I Giorni” Rosso being the latest addition to our range alongside the saline, herbaceous and refreshing Vermentino. And, the Morellino di Scansano, a Sangiovese finished in the old ways producing a soft, yet minerally finish on the palate.
“Born & bred in the maremma region on Tuscany's Tyrhennian coast. Antonio Camillo worked for fifteen years as a cellar master in the most important estates in Maremma (the last eight at Poggio Argentiera).
Recently Antonio felt the necessity to fly with his own wings and produce his own wine so he bought two ancient, organic vineyards in the South of the region, on the border with Lazio, totalling five hectares in the area between Sovana and Pitigliano (in the south of Maremma on the border. Nearby are the beautiful Saturnia hot springs. Exquisite wines have been produced in this area since Etruscan times, making the most of the rich volcanic soil and Antonio is one of a group of local innovative organic producers creating exciting "natural" wines.”

Colour Us Crazy!!!
Two new wines have just hit the shelves from Vinos Inacaya in the Colchagua Valley, Chile to wet your whistle. Their aim was to create excellent value wines that are as natural as possible and reflect their place of origin.
White: A blend of Semillon and Moscatel this is all citrus and tropical fruit with distinct moscatel white grape overtones. Perfect in the sun with a picnic.
Red: Featuring the local varietal Pais which is then blended with Carignan it has spicy dark fruit flavours, crunchy tannins and vibrant acidity. Perfect accompaniment to Mediterranean style dishes.

Very few breweries get a permanent place on our shelves, one worth mentioning time and again are Duration Beer.
Stylistic brewing chops, unwavering principles and the ability to get on with it in these interesting times. They have firmly cemented their place within the industry and all its peers at every level.
Duration are currently seeking support for the next stage of their incredible journey. Go have a read or just drink one of their delicious beers to lend some support.
If you are yet to still experience them, their Continental Pale “Bet The Farm” and Table Beer “You End Where You Were” are a great place to start.
If you’re a long time listener, their collaboration with Burning Sky “Ferm Friends” and Foeder Aged Stout “Tracing Time” will be right up your street.
It is with great excitement we announce the arrival of our annual allocation of Gentle Folk Wines to the stores.
A small team of five located in the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills. Their wines are an expression of purity and honesty to themselves and the region they hail from. Farming organically with additional biodynamic practices.
Their 2020 Clouds Riesling which we stocked last year goes down as one of the best new world rieslings we have had the opportunity to try.
From their 2021 harvest we will be stocking 4 each of the following in our stores.

Of Rosé into all our faces 💦💦💦💦
Meet what has quickly become our flagship premium Provence Rose from Chateau de l’Escarelle. Les Deux Anges is one of their highest rated cuvées (James Suckling 92 points April 2022) and is pure magic on the palate.
“Subtle and elegant with wild strawberry and citrus fruits on the nose. The palate is clean and fresh with great tension and balance displaying notes of mango and pomelo.”
Chateau de l’Escarelle is not only certified organic but they posses Level 3 HVE certification (Haute Valeur Environmentale) which means their vines benefit from existing in an incredibly bio diverse habitat, minimal use of herbicides, pesticides and artificial fertilisers.

Here’s a few of our favourites:
Freezer Martini, a well-balanced blend of Porter's Gin, Dry Vermouth and lemon zest.
Chipper's Cherrywood Old Fashioned, a robust blend of whisky, cherrywood bitters and a dash of gum sugar. A classy classic.
And finally the cutest Pocket Negroni, made with Porter's Gin, vermouth and bitter aperitivo.
“How far down the rabbit hole of orange wine would you like to go?” said the White Rabbit to Alice…..
If you would like to fall all the way down and into another dimension then the AV01 Cataratto from Rallo will take you there. With no added sulphites and a maceration spent in 50hl acacia barrels this wine blurs the line between wine, cider and a Belgian Gueuze.
If however you would simply like to look through the looking glass and spy on what it’s all about then the Bel a Ciao from Olivier Cazenave is the ticket. A fresh, bright expression of the orange wine style, it is almost 100% Semillon (2% Sauvignon added at the end for acidity and vibrancy) organically cultivated in Bordeaux. A perfect introduction to the style with a friendly price tag attached.

Funkstille Zweigelt out of Austria is pure fruit forward filth. Perfect for in the garden over long summer evenings it only requires you to drink it not think about it.

Episode 34 - New Blood & Chocolate - 61% Cabernet Sauvignon 39% Shiraz - this follow on 3000 bottle release from the initial 2003 vintage Blood + Chocolate that we previously listed shows the blend in youthful exuberance with Cabernet qualities distinctly at the forefront.
Episode 36 - This Is The Sea - 100% Albarino from the Coastal region of the Cape, this juice could have been destined into a big commercial blend with Sauvignon Blanc but has instead been liberated into its own bright lively existence. Perfect for sunny days and fresh seafood platters.
After a serious unintentional hiatus the Can do Sil Red has returned from Adegas Carballal who are situated in the heart of Galicia. A blend of 50% Mencia and 50% Garnacha it’s vibrant acidity and freshness resonate incredible well with the change of season.
With just a hint of underlying smokiness this wine pairs perfectly with a charred but perfectly rare steak.
A wine of unique character at a great price (£12.99) we can’t recommend it enough for you to try.

Absolute 100% product promotion of our new crazy friends Hanewald Schwerdt who are responsible for the bonkers Monkey Morio wine.
A white wine made from the Morio Muscat grape which was created by Peter Morio in the Palatinate in 1928. It is a genetic cross between Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc ( some speculate it was actually Muscat Petit grains) nonetheless it’s distinctively nuts.
For us it’s like German Gewurtztraminer had a love child with an Alsace Pinot Blanc that is a big bowl tropical fruit salad synthesised into a wine.
It’s another banging curry / spicy food white wine pairing that you should all get involved with.
