| New RSV vaccination programme launches in Wales to protect babies and older adults 👶👴.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a highly contagious virus, infecting most children by the age of two. It can also cause severe illness for older adults.

Every year, RSV leads to over 1,000 hospital admissions in young babies and causes 400-600 deaths in older adults across Wales.

Starting today, the vaccine will be offered to all pregnant women from 28 weeks to term, and those turning 75 years old, helping to save lives and reduce hospital admissions this winter.
