This year’s rubber match between Queensland and New South Wales will see two electric teams go head-to-head to try and clinch the series.

Game 1 saw a young NSW superstar sent off early in to the game, allowing Queensland to run up the scoreboard, whereas Game 2 showed us to never count the Blues out as they absolutely dominated the Maroons, 38-18. Yesterday saw an incredible Premiership Final take place between Leicester Tigers and Saracens.

An unfortunate early injury to George Ford and a questionable yellow card to Saracens scrum-half Aled Davies resulted in even more excitement being added to the mix as the game progressed.

The half-time period had the Tigers ahead, however pressure from an ever-strong Saracens outfit saw the London-based team equal the score at 12-12.

A final in rugby is often won from moments of magic and oh did we get one! Freddie Burns (), who came on to replace George Ford, found himself in the pocket in the closing stages of the game and managed to slot over a drop kick which Leicester Tigers fans will never forget. Burns was playing in his first ever Premiership final and we couldn’t be more happy to see him lift the trophy. It goes without saying that the National Basketball Association (NBA) is, by far, the most popular basketball league in the world; however increased attention has been paid to leagues across the world and especially so within the NCAA Division I Basketball league.

This season in Division I Men’s Basketball saw some incredible upsets which really made the season interesting; the first round of the East Regional bracket saw No. 15 seed Saint Peter’s defeat No. 2 seed Kentucky in an overtime thriller. Similarly, the second round of the Midwest Regional bracket hosted two big upsets as No. 11 seed Iowa State managed to defeat No. 3 seed Wisconsin as well as No. 10 seed Miami getting the best of No. 2 seed Auburn. This round also saw Saint Peter’s continue their underdog story as they defeated No. 3 seed (East) Purdue in order to see themselves reach the Elite 8. The conclusion of the tournament saw the Kansas Jayhawks defeat the North Carolina Tar Heels in an incredibly exciting 72-69 victory, bringing the University of Kansas their 4th NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball title.

Massive shoutouts to the likes of , , , and who all put on one hell of a show and managed to make serious statements by finishing their opponents in the cage!

Peter makes it very clear that this is not a team of the best ever players, rather it’s a showcase of the rugby talents who have either produced magical moments or simply meant something significant to Peter. In other words, please don’t be offended that Richie McCaw is not in this team!

This weekend will see one of the biggest sporting events of the year, the Super Bowl, take place in SoFi Stadium, California. This fixture sees the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams in a head-to-head battle which very few saw happening with favourites such as the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers getting eliminated in the playoffs.

Super Bowl LVI hosts NFL Championship debut games for both QB’s, Joe Burrow (Bengals) and Matthew Stafford (Rams). The bookmakers have the Rams as 8/15 favourites, which would see a franchise stacked with talent such as Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham Jr, Cooper Kupp and Von Miller lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

With that being said, don’t count out the undisputed coolest man in the league, Joe Burrow who will look to effectively use his vastly improved offense to produce some moment of magic. Keep an eye out for the ever electric Ja’Marr chase, who is bound to bamboozle us as spectators with his lightning speed and incredible catching. If “Joe Brrr” and the Cincinnati Bengals are able to pull off this upset on Saturday night, Burrow will make history as he will become the first quarterback ever to win the CFP National Championship, Heisman Trophy and Super Bowl championship.
