✨6 weeks update✨
I mentioned a few weeks ago I had 8 weeks before an event. My goals for this weren’t too drastic, I simply wanted to:
- feel a bit leaner
- have my clothes fit a bit more comfortably
- have more energy
- less bloating
And if I lost a few lbs I wouldn’t have complained 😂
So far I’m down 4lbs but the most important highlight for me is not waking up feeling SO bloated. And can I be honest? I stopped tracking my calories about 2 weeks ago simply because I felt happy to just maintain.
When I feel leaner, I ooze more confidence. Which is EXACTLY what I need for this upcoming event. I want to look but more importantly, FEEL good.
To some, this isn’t a huge transformation and I agree there’s more I could have done. But feeling happy in myself RIGHT NOW is the biggest win of all and sometimes all it takes is putting one foot in front of the other for a few weeks to get you there ❤️

Have you ever been so grossed out by yourself you delete all the pics you hate?
I had to TRAWL through my photos for some of these lol but I’m so pleased I did. Scales might tell you 1 thing but pictures tell you another story.
From drinking WAY too much, NEVER prioritising my health 100% of the time and feeling stuck in a pointless relationship that was doing NOTHING positive for me…
To living my life 80% on point and 20% for treats, in a happier relationship and using exercise as a positive outlet, I’m right where I want to be.
Growth and success isn’t just about how much weight you’ve lost but it can also be ➡️
✨Improved mindset
✨Better relationship with food
✨Fuelling your body correctly
✨Wearing clothes that feel comfortable
✨Not deleting all your pics because you like what you see now

Self care looks different for everyone but for me, this hike ticked all the boxes.
✅ Stunning views
✅ Beautiful drive
✅ Fresh, crisp air
✅ Quaint town filled with bakeries and cafes
✅ Hot chocolate with marshmallows
✅ Cute shops (crystal shop was the best!)
For me, this was an active rest day. Not concentrating on exercising but still doing something movement wise that makes me feel good and getting those all important steps 🚶🏻♀️
Sorry to mention the “C” word again but it’s literally round the corner now!
12 weeks is enough time to see a noticeable difference not just visually but mentally too.
It’s your last chance for 2024 to be where you want to be.
To feel better in yourself so it doesn’t drag into another New Years Resolution.

I have many fears..
And getting older is a huge fear of mine. I associate it with scary things such as losing my memory, not being able to move as well as I used to or being a burden on others.
I am a VERY independent person so the more I can avoid these things the better.
But the fact is, becoming a mom has also deepened that. It’s given me a new purpose, more reasons why I now want to be more capable. Be stronger. Be here for longer.
The simple fact is I want to maximise my life. See my son maybe get a family of his own one day. Have an active part in his life. Be there if he needs ME.
I can’t do that if I don’t look after myself now.
So these are some of my whys.
Don’t always just assume that someone is exercising or eating healthily because they’re trying to lose weight.
There are SO many other benefits of movement and good food!!

It’s so easy to focus solely on the scales. Or what the measurements are telling you.
Wins are ANYTHING that’s an improvement whether that’s 👇🏻

✨ Committing to “x” amount of workouts a week
✨ Showing up
✨ Clothes feeling comfortable
✨ Preparing healthier meals
The variety of wins I see week on week are IMMENSE and if it wasn’t for their sheer determination and effort, none of this would be possible.
So today, focus on what wins you’ve had recently and maybe have a think about what you want your next WIN to look like and go smash the rest of your week 👊🏻

2nd block of PT sessions for Natalie today and I am BEYOND proud of how far she’s come already.
- She’s a mom of 4 kids
- She still manages to get her arse to the gym twice a week
- She puts in the work!
- She’s upped her protein and got results without even calorie counting 👊🏻
- She’s committed to herself. Doing it for herself. Showing up for herself.

Time to set new goals that you’ll actually ACHIEVE!
Here’s the biggest issue I see constantly.
You’re setting your goals too high so they feel unachievable.
My client has lost an INCREDIBLE amount of weight in the last few weeks by following 5 simple steps.
1. Ate in a deficit of around 400 calories
2. Increased her protein intake. This kept her feeling full and not craving the crap food!
3. Loaded up her plate with veggies and ate fruit throughout the day. These are usually high in fibre to keep you feeling full and are not too high in cals!
4. She aced 2 strength sessions a week online and worked towards a step goal of 9000 a day. Did she achieve this every day? No! But she tried!
5. She aimed to get 7-8 hours sleep a night, providing her body with ample rest and recovery.
It’s not always easy, I know from my own experience. And sometimes the scales will show an increase. Don’t let it get you down. Look at the big picture and see how far you’ve come and can CONTINUE to go if you just KEEP GOING
UNREAL RESULTS IN 5 WEEKS!
Natalie came to me and signed up to a 5 week PT course (begrudgingly 😂). She had a couple of holidays coming up for the 6 weeks holidays and wanted to feel a bit more confident in her body as well as improving her strength.
She admitted in her first session her strength and fitness levels was literally zero so we were starting completely from scratch!
From Day 1, she didn’t want to track calories so she followed my nutritional guidance, increased her protein intake and did 2 hourly PT sessions a week with me where we focussed on strength and interval training.
She’s gone from dreading her first couple of sessions (she very nearly cancelled them out of pure fear and anxiety!) to smashing her workouts and actually feeling the benefit of coming.
I can’t say yet that she ENJOYS the gruelling efforts lol but she’s definately put the work in and no longer fears the gym environment.
This just shows being sensible about your food choices lets you still ENJOY life, have the odd glass of wine here and there (and she still had a crazy night out for her birthday in the middle of it all 🍾)
I’m so freaking proud of this one and seeing her results and epic strength improvements has motivated her to book another block of 10 sessions with me.
Onwards and upwards girl, can’t wait to see your progress ❤️
Why progress shouldn’t always be measured by looks or a number…
There are 8 months between these photos. Left picture is November 2023 and right is today.
Is there much visual change?
☀️ I have lost weight from my bum (but it remains peachy 😂)
☀️ My thighs are slimmer
☀️ My form has improved
☀️ There seems to be more definition in my recent photos
But do you know that what you can’t see has been my biggest changes?!
⭐️ I’m more confident now (you would not have seen me in a sports bra in the gym 😂)
⭐️ I am stronger
⭐️ Exercise is more of a habit now rather than a means to an end
⭐️ I sleep better now
⭐️ Exercise improves my mental health now
I’m sure aesthetics and visual changes are huge to some people and they have been to me too.
But don’t underestimate the changes you make to yourself INTERNALLY.
- The ones that give you that extra bit of sass because you’re feeling more confident.
- When you can stop relying on medication because exercising has improved your health
- when you stop shying away from wearing certain clothes and instead can embrace YOURSELF again
- When the world feels a little less heavy and more bearable
- Those extra hours of You Time has given you a piece of your old self back
Focusing on your health and exercising can transform your body and your mind. Simple! Stop always focusing on a number, how your tummy still rolls when you bend (SAME!) and embrace what your body can do for you. How it’ll be stronger for you if you simply LOOK AFTER IT 💗

Remember that whatever fitness and health goals you’re working towards are all for you. For making you feel happier, confident, more comfortable in your own skin and simply to enjoy LIFE.
So here’s me enjoying life and being the best version of myself outside of the gym. Because being “healthy” isn’t just about working out or eating well, it’s about doing things that feed your soul and make you smile. Having fun with friends and eating tasty food, letting your hair down and having a giggle ❤️

What you wouldn’t expect me to say…
So the fact is, eating healthy food and moving your ass are 2 essential ways to keep fit and healthy. To provide longevity to your life and reduce the risk of diseases.
But what is so often overlooked by many coaches are 2 things:
1. Just how long you can keep this up for and remain consistent
2. How does this impact your mental health, especially if you’re consistently depriving yourself of things you want?
So here’s a post to remind you that you cannot fill from an empty cup.
That when you’re celebrating an event, or special occasion or go on holiday, it’s ok to not stress about it and eat “off track”.
Will doing this regularly impact your goals? Of course they will. But you don’t need me to tell you that. Just be mindful you may not reach your goal as quickly as you’d like.
But will it make you feel happy knowing it’s ok to have a splurge every now and then without feeling guilty about it? Heck yeh!
Life is a balance and ultimately you need to do what works for YOU.
If you have a short term and strict weight loss goal, be consistent and stick with it because you’ll reap those rewards after. However if you’re in it for the long haul and you’re happy for a slow and steady transformation, you have more room for manoeuvre.
Treating myself works for me because I know I can snap back into sensible mode and continue where I left off without any negative consequences.
Know yourself. Get to know your body and your mind and don’t make life so bloody hard for yourself. Sure you may have big goals but equally, we want you to be happy not just when you’ve reached it, but along the way too.
Life is for living, is it not?!
What a difference a year can make!
Same but different right? A stone lighter this year and not only do I look slimmer I look happier. And yes, I had to have those same shorts taken in because they were hanging off me last month 😂
I will repeat this as often as is necessary but if your mental health is s**t, so will your fitness and health be. They are ALL equal and as important as each other.
This year I have:
- been in a calorie deficit for around 5 months to achieve the desired loss
- improved my strength dramatically
- done more things FOR ME. This means figuring out what fills my cup and consciously and (non)selfishly booking in the time.
Invest in yourself and the results will come ❤️
