Today is one of those perfect winter days. Crisp snow, bright sunshine, blue sky and not a breath of wind. My first visit to Southhead summit in 2024. Glorious views all around.

We gave our latest guest, who arrived on public transport, a lift to her rdv with Adventure Hub https://g.co/kgs/ibbP42 , for a day of rock climbing and caving. It's a great way for us to support sustainable tourism in the Peak District National Park.

We are visiting the village of Monyash, in the White Peak. Lovely village green, The Bulls Head pub and a separate cafe. A moment of spring sunshine being enjoyed by some local people.

Just making the utility room ready to securely store your bikes inside the house. We are close to off -road routes for families, challenging mtb routes and road routes too. Winnat's Pass is only over the hill for those road bike fanatics needing the classic hill climb.

The wild daffodils have appeared near Chapel Milton. Walking back from the post office in Chapel en le Frith I spotted these sheltering amongst the trees.
We had a fabulous evening at The Buxton Opera House last night. KT Tunstall at the very start of her 2023 tour. Wonderful music in an iconic venue. Drinks after at The Buxton Cellar bar. Easy parking, historic venue, local beer and only 20 mins from Cherry Tree Cottage.

Jim, Jack and I had a great winter afternoon at The Roaches, just over the border in Staffordshire about a 30 min car ride from Cherry Tree Cottage. Lovely views to the south over Tittesworth Resr. Climbers and boulderers were out in good numbers trying the many problems and trad routes on this crag.
