Well this job wasn’t for the faint hearted 🫠 but I must give myself a pat on the back 😌 a job like this takes a LOT of patience! A full 12 hour day is needed for something this technical but my lady doesn’t get much help with her child so we only had 9 hours to play with 🥲

Usually something like this I like to go in with foils but time wasn’t on our side so I started by sectioning her hair into two, back and front so I had more time to work on each patch without having to rinse off too soon.. so tackling her very dark long natural root, avoiding the scalp as it would have lifted wayyy too quickly leaving her with more patches than we started with, the minute the back section was on I went back through each section going over the dark patches, the minute that was on I went back in on the roots and lighter (but still ginger) patches so the hair was completely saturated with bleach but for the right amount of time needed for each section/patch

After completing the back we went through and done the same process on the front section

I protected and repaired the hair throughout using

Then toned and voila! ✨

Who wants to know my secret for a soft but popping colour?

The trick is this!
Bleaching THIN
Colouring THICK

Making sure the blonde is super blended and the tone you want by taking super fine sections then going in with your root and lowlight after taking thick weaves so the darkness doesn’t disappear into your blonde ✨

What causes your blonde to go brassy? 😓
It’s no secret that being blonde is very high maintenance! But WHAT causes the brass? And how to keep your blondes super bright!

Causes and remedies
✨ Smoking: Imagine you getting a new home, all the walls are painted white it looks super fresh and crisp! If you smoke, those walls over time turn yellow! The same goes for your platinum blonde hair, this includes environmental smoke and being around smokers, smoking outside ventilates the smoke which in turn result will have less of an effect on your blonde
✨ Hard water: How amazing does it feel when you go on holiday and the water is super soft and your hair feels like silk? Thats because our water has harsh chemicals and minerals that make our hair feel and look like crap! These chemicals and minerals layer on your hair and overtime changes the colour, blondes to brass and brunettes dull, detoxing your hair every 3-4 months and using a shower head filter will reduce the amount of hard water on your hair
✨ Chlorine: Swimming and hot tubs contain chlorine which is designed to disinfect water which is great for other things but not for our hair! The best thing to do is not put your hair in the water full stop but if you’re a regular swimmer, use a swimming cap
✨ HEAT! Now this is something that once it’s done its damage it’s not as an easy fix as it is for the above! So please for beautiful blonde hair USE A HEAT PROTECTOR

It was about three months ago (I think 😂) Zoe came from Herne Bay for a consultation and after doing a strands test her hair completely melted so it was a definite NO for bleaching. After getting her to stop using shop products her hair became slightly healthier and I was happy to bleach the roots but avoid the mids and ends at all costs, today I went over the ends with a weak bleach and a strong toner.
