What’s better than Easter eggs?
Open Mat training with your team and friends of course.
Good Friday at 10am we have an open mat session on for those who would like to come practice outside of the structured class or to drill your super slick YouTube moves in a safe environment. Whether it be Gi, Nogi or if you want to bring both, come along and have some fun.
What a day for team Unique BJJ down at London.
It was a few peoples first competition and they all did really well. Tirion was back out and his improvement was evident. There was some fantastic matches in a very busy event.
In total we brought home three medals, one gold and two bronze.
We couldn’t be more proud of the those young men today, congratulations to .alex and

Unique Bjj invites you to come along and try one of our club sessions. We have classes Tuesday evening at 8:15 pm or Sunday morning at 8:00 am for those of you who would like to try Brazilian Jiujitsu in the Gi (that’s the heavy weight pyjamas in the top image) or Saturday morning at 8:00 am for those of you who would like to try Brazilian jiujitsu No-Gi style.
We also have a session on at 8:00 pm on a Thursday which is open mat usage to train without a specified structure which is intended for practice of recently taught techniques and sparring.
All structured classes offer a warm up followed by technique demonstrations and drilling with a partner, and most sessions end with a live sparring where you have the chance to test those newly learned skills in a live roll.
First timers get their first week free and then membership for BJJ is £50 per month, drop in sessions are £10 each.

How did you kick start your first new years weekend?
Our first Saturday was our usual nogi class with coach , we covered some single leg counters and kimura traps.

Open mat sessions are open to all levels and are a chance for you to practice your techniques that you’ve learned during recent classes, to explore your bodies capabilities and have a blast doing so.

Today we worked a couple of takedowns and a nice little guillotine from half guard.
This room is getting busy and it’s great to see so many people enjoying themselves.
Todays class consisted of constant sparring rounds, everyone was pushed today , coach rolled with each of us and we are grateful for that.

Kicking the week off at Unique BJJ With a beginners class Monday, a Gi class with VN Blackbelt Tuesday and an open mat session with some beginners today. There is still time to join us at the gym every day for some some training no matter your level. We look forward to seeing you.
We have made some adjustments to our timetable, we now have two specific beginners classes running Monday nights at 8:00pm and this is a basics Gi class, and Thursday night at 8:00pm and will cover No-gi basics.
If you need any advice on equipment please get in touch.
We are also running a temporary promotion for your first week with us completely free of charge, so come down and try a class.
