Thank you Synpulse PH for the opportunity to share to you guys my knowledge about health and wellness during this time of pandemic. Speaking in front of people just got easier since now you just need to talk in front of your screen 😂
We now live in a very strange world. We are amidst of a global pandemic wherein all of us are affected one way or another, to make things worse we are also dealing with different socio-political issues affecting our brothers and sisters. It is natural for everyone to succumb to the uncertainty of what lies ahead, natural for a lot us to give in to anxiety to all of the problems all of us are dealing with.
Recently, I've been introduced to the philosophical school of Stoicism by a good friend. Stoicism teaches us how to endure pain, hardship, and suffering without manifestation of feelings or complaints. We may not have control over the events that currently affect us, but we have control over how we approach things. We must differentiate things we can control and things that we cannot. This way we can filter all the noise within us and be able to do a positive action that will not only benefit ourselves but also the people around us.
WE ARE STRONGER THAN WE THINK.
We are adaptable and resilient. Our current situation will not break us. After all of these are said and done, we will come out better and tougher individuals. Tough people are made through tough experiences they were able to overcome.
Stay safe and strong guy. Let me know what you guys think.

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Times are tough, but we are tougher than this pandemic upon us. 💯
Since I started as a strength and conditioning coach, after passing the local boards, 6 years ago, a lot of Physical Therapists are now starting to have an interest in understanding Strength and Conditioning. When you come to think of it, Physical Therapy and Strength and Conditioning have very similar outcome goals. Strength Coaches' main objective is to physically prepare an individual to his or her chosen sport by improving his or her performance and minimize the risk of injury. As Physical Therapists, it is our job to manage injuries and also to make the individual an "efficient mover" so that the possibility of re-injury decreases.
These two disciplines can be described in a spectrum, PT on one end and S&C on the other, both disciplines are integral in the Physical Preparation process. This is why PTs and Strength Coaches should be able to work in harmony to efficiently help the individual/athlete/patient/client. Physical Therapists are well versed in the Acute Phase of Rehab; where diagnosis and pain management is the priority, but struggles when the main goal is return to training and full performance. This is where Physical Therapists can learn from Strength and Conditioning Coaches. Concepts such as Program Organization, Periodization, when and why to prescribe power exercises, and much more.
Let me know what you guys think.

Hello guys! I hope everyone is safe and well. ❤️🙏
These are trying times. Currently, we are still in a state of community quarantine and the world is still trying its best to beat COVID-19 for us to go back to our normal lives.
Until then, this is the perfect time to improve ourselves. Remember the times, when we urged ourselves to do something but ended up having an excuse of: "I don't have time." Now we have a lot of time to TRAIN, learn a new skill, finish a book, binge watch on that Netflix show you've always wanted to watch, but don't forget that this doesn't mean that your fitness and athletic goals are on pause during this time.
This is the best time to:
🧘♂️Work on your mobility
🧠Learn and a new skill
💓Work on your conditioning
💥Let your nagging injuries heal
💪🏻Work on your accessory lifts (now you have A LOT of time to do your single-leg exercises and your arm-work😁)
🍗Fix your eating habits
The point is once everything is better, and I know IT WILL BE BETTER, we have the opportunity to become better versions of ourselves, so let us not waste it.
Stay safe and well everyone. We will see each other soon.
Let me know what you guys think.
