Hey folks! We're really pleased to announce that we have extended our hours! 🙌

To start with, we will now be open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. We'll get the rest of the hours sorted over the weekend and let you know ASAP! 👍

In the meantime, who fancies a pint of MaMauldons Brewery🍻 Fresh delivery ready to go in cask and bottle!

Good news! 😀

We have some amazing cask beer landing this week including a rather quaffable number from Caveman Brewery! Can't wait to get stuck in as this will be perfect for the Sunny Weekend!

Bad news is that we're not open today 😞

Our new staff are nearly all trained up and they become key holders next week so that will get us to the point that we will be open Tuesday to Sunday every week, but this week it unfortunately means that we're closed today.

Morning all!

Firstly, it was brilliant to meet you all over the weekend! And a blinding night on Thursday to re-open the Hop Shop!

Loads of quality casks flying out. The Arbor seemed to go down really well alongside the classics from Mighty Oak Brewing Company and Colchester Brewery too.

Next week, we've got Tring Brewery dropping off a delivery so if you didn't have an excuse to pop in, you have now!

This week we'll be open Tuesday to Sunday but closing early on Tuesday around 5.30pm. We're gradually sorting staff, shifts and holidays so it won't be long til it's all settled!

Tues to Sat 12 til 9pm

But we have applied to extend the hours so hopefully in a months time we will have longer time at the bar 🤞

Hello from Ed at the Hop Shop! 👋

As I'm sure many of you already know, John decided to call it a day at the Hop Shop which has lead to myself taking over the reins.

Over the last ten years, John created a brilliant place for people enjoy good beer, great conversation and a fantastic atmosphere. It's going to be my job to ensure that this wonderful micro bar keeps up that tradition and continues to be a brilliant little community based pub. We won't be changing anything as we think it's kind of perfect.

I'm pleased to say that all the staff are staying on, paperwork is being done and that we will be back open for the Bank Holiday weekend. We can't wait to see you!

Thank you to all the people who have popped their heads in to wish us good luck, it's been really lovely.

We'll keep you updated and hopefully see you for a pint when we re open 🍻
