Burr burrand more burr;
Lime at the front

Back right box elder
Arent they gorgeous!!
Not often I have solid spalted beech. What a difference it makes, the finish on it is incredible and the spalting comes our so clear. This doubke curved vase is part of a new range of little vases that will hopefully go kn sale soon!!
Sorry it has been so quiet on here recently, renovation is mad busy!!
A walnut trinket pot. This has come I. Very handy recently with all the ongoing jobs... somewhere nice and safe to keep those wedding rings!!
4 shades of similar form pill vases. Can you take a guess at each species?
Birdseye Lime! What a beautiful timber it is, the smell is really something on this stuff.
It has now been about 3 weeks since I have managed to get on the lathe, the renovation of our house is moving on and consuming majority of my brain currently. This time next week, we shoukd be moved in...
I just love the flecks in London plane, not often I have it and really not often I will make vases from it!! What do you all think?
Can you beat a burr squat vase?
Put your guesses for timbers below!
This little spalted beech didn't last long! 2 years in and still my favourite wood to look at !!
Curvy all round vases, have been playing around with this to find out what I like and I what I feel looks best. I am leaning more towards the slender, more angled burnt oak shape. But what do you guys think?
All natural olive ash. Yet to oil this one but hoping to get some wax on it when I get the chance. This curvy shape I have been trying to replicate in some vases and love how it us coming along. Hopefully soon I will have something to share :)
Happy Friday everyone!!
My little one sneaking in for guest appearence in this one. 2 year old for scale of the vase...
This one made from birdseye Lime, need myself a trip back up to soon.
Some birdseye box elder in a shallow not so squat vase...adding some plants to the images recently to see how people like them.
Better with or without plants. Let me know :)
My wife just makes my photos look so much better!!
New form using curves at either end, with small oppening. Mix of inspiration from my wife's endless supply of pills (prescribed) and an oil dispenser we have .
What do you think?
Look at this stunning piece of birdseye Lime! Not often you will find lime like this and this little squat vase complemented it perfectly.
What do you think?
Raw do***ng this bad boy beech 🥣 still fighting the unpopular opinion that it is better not oiled...
Little rippled creme Brule pot...
Something a little different keeping a full bark inclusion lid, not the easiest to do keeping it full intact but so happy with how it came out!
always supply the coolest timber!! Make sure you give them a visit.
These three all made form birdseye box elder, isn't it just stunning? Incredible figure and grain!!
A few little pots I made a couple weeks ago, all with a nice twist seal function :)
This one looks slightly more crazy in this image that it is but still wild in real life. Such amazing colour coming through in the mappa burr.
Still one of my favourite characterful small bud vases. The amount going on is insane and the warm walnut colours just make it perfect (to me).
Holiday blues kicking I'm hard!! Here is a little bunch of vases... maybe a quiz to come!!
Had a cool little parcel come whilst I was away, can't wait to show you all, I think you may find it a bit useful for those messy workshops..
Hi Sunny.Beaux followers, Angus' wife here. We're away on holiday at the moment 🌞🍻 Angus has got too drunk and asked me to write a caption for him... so here's a dotty cute little ginger vase, enjoy it 👌😍
P.s it might be on his etsy for sale, so go check it out xoxo
Some shots of a recent green turned spalted beech bowl! Love this stuff but such a sad sight when it starts to warp... anyone else turn beautoful objects to sometimes just watch them be ruined?
Sorry for the lack of content, I am busy away on holiday with my wife (see slide 4). Here is a mappa burr vase made a while back but still ever so gorgeous!!
I loved making these ones as the wood is so beautiful to turn, partly due to being green. I would normally avoid turning green wood as I don't have the patience to wait for it to dry and then it cracks, but burrs just don't act the same!!
Just look at the Birdseye on this mini squat vase from an elder tree. I need to find something new to make, how do people feel about some mini/ large stools? (Not turd stools)
Gorgeous looking olive ash, this is yet to be oiled as last time it went a bit funky. Might take the plunge and oil it today and see the difference. Still a chance to buy this one from my etsy if wanted :)
got any walnut left...
