I have decided to take a break from teaching and will be giving up my business premises in Swindon. I still have a premises I can teach from and will do a few from home. This is likely to be from the end of sept but will update further. Sometimes you just need to re stock and do some things that in life are more important. I think covid has taught us to do alot more of that. I will have some dates available before then.

For anyone on my page that currently teaches or is looking to get into teaching.

Regulation will be coming and cannot come soon enough!! This is just one area that is being looked at….teaching. There are many companies out there that offer level 3 AET award in teaching and alot are not worth the paper they are written on. Your teaching qualification needs to be regulated by ofqual to mean anything. If you haven’t got the below logo on your certificate then perhaps you should look again at what you actually have.

Too many people look at teaching as a quick buck to be earned. Also too many students looking at cheap alternatives either in person or online. You get what you pay for.

I for one would like to see more regulation. No cheap online courses, all hands on in person. No doing a course one day and offering it to your students the next day as a course. I believe you should have years of experience in the industry before being able to set up an academy.

It’s all going to come back and bite you on the bum soon if you haven’t done it all right. And believe me I have! Lots of hard work, money and experience and I’m proud to say I have and will never offer cheap, online alternatives where you haven’t touched a person!!

I haven’t posted students work for a while and have been quiet on my page I won’t go into details as to why.
