Speaking about the current process, Nick Edwards says: “Since being involved with such a big ITV show, and off the back of such a ‘memorable’ audition, I guess the naive expectation is that this will all come easy. But I’ve had to work hard for my place, and we continue to do this behind the scenes with my debut album. It started with my EP ‘1960, a significant first step, followed by a string of singles. I feel privileged that I am a regular featured artist on the UK Country scene, but my main focus right now is on producing the best album I can, but we didn’t want to leave everyone waiting. In January, we visited The Northern Cowboys in Yellow Arch Studios, Sheffield. It’s a really cool place, and since it opened in 1997, it is perhaps best-known as the birthplace of the Arctic Monkeys. But it has since produced albums by a diverse range of artists, including Jarvis Cocker, Kylie Minogue, and Goldfrapp, amongst many more. It set the groundwork for the album; honestly, I’m really pleased to share these with everyone. We have released a few live videos online over the past few months. They have gone down well, so we thought, why don’t we get this music re-mixed, mastered, and released as an EP just to wet appetite as it felt like a bit of magic was made that day”
There’s no doubting that the extended wait for the LP will be well worth it and with this outstanding EP on the way to wet fans’ appetites in the meantime, Nick Edwards’ career trajectory is only headed in one direction and this is definitely straight to the top.

🌟 COMING FRIDAY 🌟
‘Back to the Start’ is Andrew Jones’ fourth solo release, collaborating with Nashville musician and producer Smith Curry, and Jamie Masters of Echo Studios, UK.
“I wrote this song during a pretty rough time in my relationship, and I think in these times of struggle, when you think you need a way out, all you really want is to re-find that spark and the feeling you had at the beginning... when every moment with the person was new and exciting.”
The result of Andrew’s vulnerability, alongside this collaboration, takes this release to the next level, with an uplifting, impeccable recording, capturing Andrew’s emotion. A traditional country sound, a lyrical story and instrumental licks and fills that will remain in the listeners head.
“I love working with the team in Nashville to get the sound right for my music and finishing things off with the vocals and final production here in the UK with Jamie, gives it that final homegrown charm”

If a song could be a hug (or “cwtch” if you’re
from Wales) this would be it. A country power
ballad seared though with emotion, from
warmth of the first piano chord through to the
climactic lifting finish. A story of a family home,
rebellion, acceptance and above all love.
Rebecca loved collaborating with Stef Judd
(Flatland Kings) at The Stable Studio, Norfolk to
create a rich full Nashville styled sound that
would sit equally comfortably alongside any
modern or traditional country playlist.

KELLEY IS BACK 🇬🇧
Swindall returns to the UK for the month of May in support of her latest single “Hole In My Heart”, a deceptively simple solo acoustic track , and the first off “The Memento Mori Sessions” EP, available in physical and downloadable form, only at these shows or directly through Kelley.
Her debut studio album, “You Can Call Me Darlin’ If You Want”, was released on NYC-based Velvet Elk Records in September of 2020, to glowing reviews, with American Songwriter declaring “Swindall affirms her place with ‘You Can Call Me Darlin If You Want”. Country Music People (UK) gave the album 5 out 5 stars, and Americana UK urged “Don’t let this masterpiece pass you by”. “Darlin’” was then named to several US and UK publications end of the year “best of” lists, and enjoyed the #1 position on Europe’s Hot Disc Top 40 charts for 6 consecutive weeks, as audiences took a shine to the strong and vulnerable female characters inhabiting the songs.
She has since toured the UK extensively, sharing the stage and supporting artists such as Billy Bragg, Jim Jones R***e, The Urban Voodoo Machine, Robert Vincent, fellow New Yorker Jesse Malin, and gracing the stages of various Festivals including Glastonbury and Kendal Calling.

Following an emergency appendectomy in June, singer/songwriter and mother-of-one Kate Harding decided now was the time to fully pursue her dream of creating country music and to make that dream a reality, she has launched her Kickstarter campaign to allow her the opportunity to travel to Nashville and work with British producer Tyler Spicer on her debut single ‘Wallflower’.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wallflowerkate/debut-single-wallflower-by-kate-harding
Having moved around a lot during her non-music career, including living in a house share in Camden, London Kate Harding has made plenty of friends around the UK and now calls Portsmouth home where she lives with her partner and 6-year-old daughter. She has links to the country world through producers, and journalists and has the voice and lyrical ability needed to make it as an artist, so this Kickstarter campaign is a fantastic way for her to make inroads into the genre, whilst giving her some financial security.
The country music community is particularly supportive so Kate has a great chance of raising the funds she needs to bring her dream to fruition.
Speaking about the process of ‘Wallflower’, Kate says: “I never set out to write music. Though I did write quite a bit of poetry and songs in my teens. The melody and the words of the song came to me one day, during a car journey home on the M25, when I was alone, driving, and feeling incredibly frustrated. There wasn't a process I can speak of. Other than having to pull over and record the audio of what I'd been singing”.
This is an exciting moment in the life and career of Kate Harding and one that promises to bring plenty of excitement and standout moments in 2024. This Kickstarter campaign is just the start of an incredible musical journey for the rising artist.
